Hi everyone, this thread is for a friend of mine. So he called me and told me that he was compiling his own mission and testing it in ArmA III like he does always when suddenly the sound was distorted and after sometime, would not come at all. He added that moving the 3.5 mm jack on the back brought back the sound but it was all distorted. I told him that the 3.5mm to RCA cable going to the woofer might have gone faulty and told him to test it in his phone. And he said there was distorted audio in the satellites but no/minimal sound from the woofer. So he got a RCA cable and tested it but the result is same and now, the PC won't give out any audio at all. It cannot be a driver problem all of a sudden. To check the PC, I told him to check with his headphone and there was no audio there too on both the front and back panel ports. I am on the conclusion that a malfunction in the speaker system caused high voltage to pass to the sound card and damaged it or vice versa. I haven't visited his place yet but will do tomorrow. What do you think of this? I have never heard of anything like this.
