Need help choosing new Mobo

I am currently going to side-grade. I cant quite decide between the following boards. I am going all out this time so price is not an issue. I want to WC the chipset also so I know the possibilities are limited, but I am willing to forgo this possibility as some of the boards I have looked @ don't have it.

If you guys have any others in mind I am willing to take a look. I also thought about the Asus ROG boards, which I like. Just cant decide...they have too much too look at. I am currently using an MSI z87 Mpower which I will be migrating to either the wife's PC or donating to my lil bro. I also want to go with the red and black look now so that is why i didn't look at the new Mpower or Xpower boards.

What board is the best? Strictly gaming build, I prefer wireless ac if possible.
Will be paired with a r290x or 780 hydro copper, 4ssds and a couple 2 tb drives, creative zxr.

I like it dragon design, color of course.

My friend bought gaming 5 already, he said that is more improve than before.

So I think 9 AC will be high efficacy.

I have the Gigabyte Z97 X Gaming G1 and love it. Combined with the 4790K and a EVGA OC GTX780 its a great set up. Not one complaint. The board has the Sound Blaster Recon 3Di chip witch is awesome. In looking at reviews all these new boards are very nice

My Swiftech Apogee XL water block has the MSI dragon series moniker cover for the block, I like the 9AC but I haven't seen any reviews on it. I was hoping Dave would chime in as I value is opinion a great deal, plus I want to support a company that supports us (TPU). I have always used MSI for my builds ever since my first build...the Athlon thoroughbred Rev B(i think) then for the Barton 2500. I have used various other manufacturers for family/friend builds and they were/are still rock solid. I think I wanna defer from MSI I think this round.

I am really leaning towards one of the Gigabytes but haven't seen/heard enough about them other than the highend G1 wifi, and all the reviews gave that board high praises. The highest I have ever seen given to a mobo.
Is it the wifi model you have?
What is your experience with the mobo? Can you get into detail a lil' bit?

The first thing you notice is the new BIOS it has a quick set up first page but you can click right for a legacy BIOS and left for a interactive BIOS with sliders for settings I like it but some are complaining that its complicated. It has a very fast boot 10 sec to windows splash screen. Its has a PLX chip and 4 PCI-E GPU slots. No M.2 slot but it does have the new SATA express. Its stunning looking with a led lighted gap that separates the Sound Core 3D sound from the rest of the motherboard. The Chipset gets hot but this board has ben flawless from install of the drivers to over clocking.

That is why I was thinking of going with the wifi model and wc the chipset, as for sound I have a Creative Sound BlasterZXR so onboard sound don't really interest me much.

As far as the chipset getting hot its not that bad. Maybe 50c I didn't check the temp. I just noticed that when my hand was close I could feel the heat even at idle. I struck me as unusual. I haven't really pushed the board I've just been to busy. I did some small test OC (4.6) and it preformed well and no problems at all. I have next week off and its on my list

I went with the wifi model. I am going to dump my cooler master v1000 for a seasonic plat 1200w.

I already got the giga...but now it's on its way back as I decided to go x99...This will be my second PC...I currently have a z87 setup which I will be keeping in the 900D and building my x99 platform in the 750D. I am still fiddling with my 750D build as we speak.

Can you stand the color scheme? If so it's a solid, feature rich board for the money. I'm just a big fan of ASUS motherboards. Had four including a Z97-A I used just last week and all have been perfect. No problems, no drama. Great BIOS, easy to understand manuals in Plain English.

I am going X99, no more 1150 for me until skylake.
