iirc a few people had their Haswells start to die on www.overclock.net with voltages 1.35 and higher.

then its a bad chip . we are cleared to use until 1.4 v plus i told you i am on cpuv 1.330 v not 1.35 . if it dies ill wait for a Broadwell or get a warranty

@prescient. I find some of your antics amusing but there's a line between cute and irritating.

that is because you came here to entertain while i worked my butt to get this pc and am ill with a dangerous disease . living in a middle of 5 wars stuck in the house
and i need this pc to ease my suffering . i tried to set the adaptive voltages yesterday without asking because of your treatment and i guess i restarted without
really changing anything but i regret it because i didnt think what it was doing . and am passing a depressing time because of i did something without asking .
u guys made me nervous just to ask . 64 go to the circus or watch cartoon network just for this thread time ok ?

Hey OP, keep going! You can push 5ghz easy

am not doing benchmark challenge . i dont know wich chip i got , now i know its a 4.6 chip
i dunno why you thought i came here to race .

that post you are looking for is a single case and realbench 2 is good
in fact the whole rog web is really good ill be there the rest of my time
you guys dont seem to be so relaxed

Yeah that's a shitty deal man. I hope things turn around in your country for the good already. We here in north america hear of all the fighting and shit over there. I don't know why ( well I do) but ppl need to change but till the end of days its not going to happen

Well if you need help I can always chime in but 4770k isn't my forte but the 4790k I've got figured out.

no, just run manual, adaptive can shoot the voltage way to high if it detects AVX2 instruction sets being used.

ok thanks mx u know so much ill make sure to thank u

you know MxPhenom 216 i guess we have identical specs . and quite similar cpu batch .
ill went down to 4.5 ghz and it made lots of difference . i went to 1.30 cpuv and its stable i guess i would remove those 0.35 v out of the equation
for the sake of less cpu consumption . 4.6 is not worth going from 1.30 to 1.35 do you really need 1.35 v for 4.5 ghz ? i guess my chip is better then a bit .
i didn not set load line calibration to 6 it that important ? hunter did not instruct mr to . can i leave it on auto ?

maybe i cant do 4.7 ghz and 4.6 takes 1.30 cpu v but i got my gem i guess from intel

go spirit-crusher 1.25 v stable in second hour of real bench @ 4.5gHz

i lowered the cooler to custom now and the temps looks different. from 1,35 to 1.25 only to go from 4.6
to 4.5 ghz losing all the heat extra voltage the cooler runs smooth on custom now

am i an ocier now ?

Just wanted to chime in quickly. If you don't want to trouble yourself with the finer details of tweaking hardware settings, then the best thing is typically just to start at stock and raise your CPU multiplier up until you start getting errors. Once there, you can either raise voltage to increase stability (IF the CPU isn't running very hot) or lower the CPU multiplier back down to something stable and accept that as your final OC. Preferably the latter. That's the basics of it. What you're basically doing is taking up the buffer between Intel's stock speed and what the chip is actually capable of. Intel keeps this gap to guarantee stability and simplify the binning process.

Overclocking your GPU works the same way, except you typically won't be dealing with multipliers and you won't always have the option of increasing voltage.

No one will be able to tell you what settings you need since every CPU is different and therefor each CPU must be experimented on.

With all that said, good luck!

Firstly, I admire all of your patience..... keep up the good work! Secondly I don't admire anyone who refuses to help themselves or follow sound advice and thirdly, if the Op continues to triple post and waste my time, this thread is toast anyway, just like his CPU may be soon if he don't start listening!

You triple posted earlier in the thread. Trying to get help is one thing but lying to the people trying to keep this forum clean and trying to help you is a pretty big no-no.

4.6 to 4.5 ghz try it MxPhenom 216 you are on 1,35 cpu v and its not worth it .
let me ask you by the way is setting load line calibration important ? hunter did not instruct it
and if yes how should it be ? with 1.27 v

Depends on the app you are hitting 60c in, but even then with these chips 60c+ in anything is fine. I just wouldnt want to go over 80-85c. That is why i dont sit there running Prime95 or AIDA hours on end.

yes running the cooler on custom or extreme ? i will test with realbech on cpu 1.27v / 1.50v cash for an hour each and post the results
i know its working i tested yesterday but i want a to test again . i guess with normal games benches its near 65c , at custom . its better for the fans
at custom the fluid hits 36c the fans moves from 1000 rpm to 1500 depends on the fluid . at extreme its based at 1500 then gose ro 2000 to keep
the water between 28c and 33 . before at cpuv 1.3 to 1.35 i needed the extreme to keep ut under 85c but now we will see .
its 76 c avrage on costum . i guess with normal app it will be under 65c . i make the test then we decide if u want . its cooler on extreme but
better for the cooler at costum . the cpu temps will give us a clue . see u in 2 hours .

ok here is my final settings and i want the ok . i tested them yesterday but i will test again today ..

spirit-crusher ocing @ 4.5ghz final settings , should be used by prescient in the future as a reference guide .

cpu core ratio to 45 x achieving stable 4.5 ghz
cpuv 1.270 v
DIGI+ set cpu power current to 120%
cash min 35 max 42 cash v 1.50v
disable Asus multi core enhancement
SVID - disable
Eventual input voltage 1.79v
disable cpu spread spectrum
load line calibration 6

yes , why do i need to learn what is neurological brain syndrome seizures ? i just have it and die . no time to study .
load line calibration is the same to me . you tell me to set it at 6 i do it then find me at RTS chat :lovetpu:

i know its working i tested yesterday but i want a to test again . i guess with normal games benches its near 65c , at custom . its better for the fans
at custom the fluid hits 36c the fans moves from 1000 rpm to 1500 depends on the fluid . at extreme its based at 1500 then gose ro 2000 to keep
the water between 28c and 33 . before at cpuv 1.3 to 1.35 i needed the extreme to keep ut under 85c but now we will see .
its 76 c avrage on costum . i guess with normal app it will be under 65c . i make the test then we decide if u want . its cooler on extreme but
better for the cooler at costum . the cpu temps will give us a clue . see u in 2 hours .

he likes to smoke I guess lol
The DC chip loves the high stock cashe voltage, like 1.2**V and it just goes up from there

And 90c dont worrie about it, the chip will protect itself
