Nice Options
I like the LG a little more...but not $18 more....maybe $5 more...
But
At least here ASUS offers rapid replacement for 3 years....and it has 2 HDMI....and I don't really think other than minor aesthetics that you will ever notice a difference...
So for piece of mind and less money I'd go ASUS

What is the purpose of 2 HDMI?

Will it improve the quality of the video? or it is for multiple monitor set up?

The only feature it adds is the ability to hook up more than 1 device...

What are the important specs in a monitor? I just look at the response time and if it is an IPS monitor.

the LG is the better panel
lower pixel pitch is better.. sharper image
also the ASUS monitor uses that dynamic contrast crap that looks good on paper but in real life not so much
