Hey guys I was hoping for a little insight and maybe someone has also come across this before.

I recently updated the drivers on my Creative X-FI XtremeMusic and the card decided it wanted to reverse the channels on the 5.1 speakers I am using. Basically the rear is now the front and the vise versa. This means the center speaker now has no sound and the jacks needed to be swapped on the card for me to get sound to at least the right channels. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before and found a possible solution? Thank guys.

Cheers,

Maybe uninstall and reinstall the drivers ?. Maybe if you run the installer it might give the option of repair sorry not used creative card for many years now ( died a long time ago to me )..

I got it to work. What I ended up needing to do was unplug my USB headset, stop the headset driver from launching at start-up, uninstall the sound card and begin from scratch. All is good now. Looks like it was just a strange conflict of drivers.
