bad deal, I can get HDMI cables literally a tad under $2 each and they work perfectly fine. Most of my family uses these $2 cables and have never had any problems.

No need for any of this over priced rubbish.

I agree some cables are over priced.
However, there are some out there that are die hard Monster Cable, or other boutique cable, aficionados.
So, that is why I posted it as "for those of you who like Monster Cable products".

And, for those who like the Monster cables... it is a good deal for them.

The cat won't chew through it as quickly as other HDMI cables. That might be worth it right there. They are constructed better.

Yep, either that, or they have a truckloads left and they are trying to sell them off... can't sell them for the large profit margin, so got to take a small one.
A small profit is better than none; and, being stuck with the inventory and no profit would be bad.

I will stay with my 14ft Radioshack HDMI cable which is triple shielded although it's pretty heavy and cost less than that 2 years ago.

"Why all HDMI cables are the same", link below.

http://www.cnet.com/news/why-all-hdmi-cables-are-the-same/

Just thought I'd post it in case someone didn't read it. It's a good read.

I do agree, however, that Monster cables do have good construction, and some people may require the strongest cable possible. But I've never had any problems with my Amazon and Monoprice HDMI cables, either.

You need to get a pet. Then you will understand the need for military grade cables

yeah they do make quality goods, but it doesnt affect the pic quality and yeah that is cheap for monster, with their normal monsterous prices, its ok if you really need strong cables but as its been said before hdmi are digital they work or they dont, no change in data quality what ever the price,, ty for the info tho they are really cheap for that company

'That is around 88% off the retail price of 179.95 at Monster Cable' WOW who are they kidding with that price tag :/

I have a dog :). Thankfully he dosen't chew on cables. But I can definitely see the need for it if you have a cat or a destructive pet.

Monoprice is awesome... I have been let down my Monster brand and would rather not pay for the branding...sure they beef up their cables...you still pay a lot for branding...screw that.

Yes i think most know paying silly prices is not required.

Although if a HDMI cable is going to break it's not going be there anyways the fault if it's going to happen it be were the the wires soldered to the metal connecter and the sleeve around the metal part allows flex which will allow the metal part move which will break the connections tot he wires.

Never mind the part that a cable don't go though all that to start with so to me that test is a fail.
