I'd flash the bios before doing anything else...It could be a virus but it sounds hardware related to me...

Honestly I never flashed bios. DONT KNOW HOW TO DO IT.
just now I put new CMOS battery same thing no change pc restarts.

The system date also set back to 2009 In bios. Dont know how.

But one damn thing I dont know why my pc does not
Restarts when in BIOS.
And LED display also remains stable is this sign that my mobo is fine ?

I really dont have 2nd pc to download this. Thats why i was running another thread to buy one with low watts.
Anyway. Is this really a BIOS realated stuff. I DONT want go in different direction.
I just saw a page reading how to do bios update on my mobo. But it says that it may have risks. Can we revert back to previous bios in case it does not work..

Do not try to update the BIOS with a boot cycle. If its restarts during the BIOS update it will brick the bios

1. changing the CMOS battery will clear your CMOS to default values.
1.a the clock gets reset too.
1.b if your default values arent correct for your RAM, it wont solve the issues. try manually setting your RAM timings and voltages now.

2. no restarts in BIOS helps imply the CPU and board are OK, but doesnt prove much because so little of the hardware is actually functioning. its not like much ram or CPU power is used.
3. LED display means nothing.

00 on mobo indicates Not Used.

live CD does not use hard drive, everything uses motherboard.

Hey now i tried installing xp3 twice with 2 different hdd drived Both times drive showed in bios i did 1st with 500gb hdd and then 256 gb SDD but during installation it through up message that..
Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in computer.
Press F3 to exit.

Now whats this...?

Your bios is set to AHCI change it to IDE

Why XP?

Do you have a copy of W7?

AHCI is the new (kinda) SATA interface. Old is IDE. Well XP does not natively support AHCI without drivers. But never mind it should have still seen the drives so don't worry about this. The New new SATA interface will be SATA express FYI

You just need to do a clean install of Windows

Just change it to IDE if you want to install XP (XP doesn't do AHCI out of the box iirc), or better yet install Windows 7 instead. Why bother with XP?
