Dear forum members,

I recently purchased a custom system from overclockers and as I am new to water cooling I was just wondering if the level of the coolant in reservoir tank is correct or is it too low and I might need to fill it to 100%. I am attaching few pictures(added red line so you can see the coolant level):

Any help appreciated, thanks =)

Would not worry as that is normal because when a custom loop is built air pockets get stuck and sometimes plop out at random times and the levels of the tank drop a little. But it looks like it is fine to me because that level is higher than most custom built systems I have seen by a PC retailer. Normally the only problem would be if it gets to low but the way you would tell is if you keep hearing a slurping noise (Its pretty noticeable) but that would be a lot lower based on the general setups of the bay reservoir loop systems.

^ that. one function of a reservoir is to capture air. My loop mysteriously looses water over time. Right now it's only about 1/2 full.

Just make sure you keep it topped up with distilled water and keep checking for leaks or anything.

I have that same res (X20 and also the D5 res bay) i prefer to keep it filled until the water level hits the top of that slot.

Also like others said air will travel to the res, but the more rad you have the more air there will be.

When I tested a similar res from them (this is a single pump version), the level was slightly less than the window showed too....

Sounds just like my pump at full speed.

Sometimes loud sounds can come from a 'blocked' air trapped loop. Keep an eye on temps also.
