Recently I've been looking at some new phones to replace my 7 old LG KE-850. Well after many hours of looking at different specs, prices and reviews I know what phone I want, just not which color is better. I always had black phones and never white, and I'm thinking of actually getting a white one this time.

What I want to know is: Are there any cons or reasons I should avoid the white colored phones?
Please share your experiences regardless of the model of phone you have/had.

BTW I'm considering the LG G2 mini.

I own a white SGS3 and I can't say there's any reason to avoid white phones. Of course, the phone shows occasional dirt, but you can wipe it off very easily. It's not like you have to meticulously clean the white phone to keep it looking good.

The only thing I would keep in mind about buying colored phones is that if you care about color coordination, and you choose an unpopular phone color, you may not be able to find accessories that match the color of your phone. White is usually not in this category, so I don't think it will be a big issue.

Well on dark surfaces a white phone would be easier to spot.

You can get any color phone you want, just look for one important thing. And this important thing are plastics used for the case. Take off the battery cover and see the plastic. If it's a solid color plastic it's ok. Dents, scratches and wear will be visible, but will still be the same color even inside the dent. But if the plastics are painted, any wear, scratch and dent will be 10 times more visible because the plastic underneath the paint will expose itself on damage.

I had black phones mostly, but i also had HTC Wildfire which was white and it looked really nice. I've also seen Galaxy S2, iPhone 4, Huawei Ascend P7 and G630 in white and they all looked really nice. So yeah, why not. White is also nice. Maybe considered slightly girly by some, but i still think it looks really nice regardless.

In my opinion white ages well than black. Black is cool if it's smooth and clean, otherwise it'll looks weathered.
Dirty white on the hand (as long as not super dirty) will looks like milky white phone. I don't have problem with scratched white too.

I prefer the same with off road cars :)

Light colors are often easier to see and stand out more. I wonder if that would increase the chances of phone theft? People can't steal what they can't notice.

i use G2 mini and yep black or dark color is best i think since it matchs any color and it feels like low profile, where bright or white tends to show off

I prefer a lighter color phone for a few reasons: 1) They are easier to locate if set down, 2) they wear much better and do not look dull after just a few months of use, 3) I like to be outside the norm as most people have black phones, and 4) I can actually see the dirt that I need to clean off. To me, having a phone that performs the best far outweighs the color. Good luck with your decision.

Are you satisfied with the phones performace?
Some people say it's kind of low on specs, but it's still I know it's 100 times better than the one I have now. (LG KE-850 also known as LG prada)

yeah its mini version of the G2, with mini sd support that G2 doesnt have, , hdr, im pretty satisfied especially price/performance
gaming is nice, battery is good, it can run until nearly 2 days for basic things like sms, call and some browsing
just minor like in here LG accessories is kinda hard to find, and knock the screen to turn on the display i dunno sometimes twice knocks work, sometimes i need to repeat several times
and since its kitkat that limited 3rd party apps, doing file management is kinda harder since you can manage files on your sd card through stock file manager
other minus it doest have auto brightness if you move from dim area to bright you need to set it manually
the rest is ok
some people complain about the screen but i feel G2 has nice screen, although not the best
the viewing angle is good and in outdoor area its ok (but you need to set the brightness more)

White if you want to go flashy...Black if you want to keep it subtle and understated.
personally,i always find that accessories and body parts are not available for my phone colour.
you know what they say....When in doubt, choose black.:D

Gratz on the new phone. I was just about to join the discussion. I had Galaxy S3 mini Blue (pebble?), then it broke and they changed it and I asked for a white one. What I noticed is on the white one, the backlight of the buttons, leaks. And it looks kind of not cool. Next time, I will go with a darker colored phone. Personal preference.

Im picking up the LG G3 on the 18th of November! I am excited
The G3 is really a beast of a phone. I tried it out a little bit in the shop and everything looked great and smooth, but to me probably everything looks great since I never had an android phone before. Before this I has a LG KE-850 which I now use as my secondary phone.
