First time building a PC. Need advice

So this is going to be my first time building a PC and I have a list of components figured out. I would like to know if it will work well, or what changes should be made to improve the system.

My budget is upto $2500. The main component i'm not sure about is the motherboard as details are kinda sketchy online.

I live in melbourne. Is 600W enough for the PSU? Also if in the future i was to attach another 980 in SLI would the current components be able to handle it?

I totally agree. With such top shelf parts you should have a good PSU. NEVER go cheap on a PSU. Its the heart of the PC. Look at the Seasonic X series as a starting point. Anything with a Gold or Platinum standard.

If you're gaming at 1080p then I would go with ne6togadno's build. There's just not enough performance increase with a GTX 980 over a GTX 970 to warrant the extra $310 that it would cost you. If you think you may go to a 1440p monitor on down the road you will still be in good shape by getting a second 970. SLi 970's offers a good deal more performance than a single 980 for about $210 more than the single 980.

Edit: From the reviews I've read Sli 970's used a system max of around 450 watts under full load but imo I would go with a gold 750 watt Seasonic, Corsair, XFX.

I agree with the ssd as the evo ssd's are having crappy performance issues after prolonged use.
