Win 10 boots...

Anyone else notice Win 10 boots much faster into Windows? I mean much, much faster.
I am now getting into Windows almost as fast as my SSD drive on my other machine.
It's crazy fast for me.

Many said the same about 7, thats when i noticed windows was faster than 98SE, Windows 2000/Xp Ran slow on a P4, Celeron, AthlonXp, so honestly it wasnt the CPU used but the code of Xp was slower than 98SE overall.

It's probably this. Windows 8 is fast too, because it doesn't shut down like they did in the 90's.

Windows 8 is faster booting than 7 even without Fast Boot enabled. So I'm not surprised Windows 10 is even faster.

Though fresh installs always seem to fast, give it a few months.

Yes, it's called the Windows Technical Preview and you can get it here (ISO Download)

You'll have to sign up for a MS account using your email and a password.

I'm using it with a 480GB SSD as the OS drive and it ~does~ boot faster, much faster.
I also have a new Win-7 build with a pair of 120GB SSDs in RAID that takes longer to boot.

Interesting. Glad to know people have it up. I am sticking with Linux though.

Interesting that it works on that oldie but goody laptop.

I don't notice any speed lags with Win-10 TP, but I'm using it on an i5-4670K system with an SSD for the boot drive, so it's snappy.

Does it start up faster than 8 though?

I just went from a fresh install of 7 to a fresh install of 10 on one of my pc's. I didn't notice faster booting but I wasn't timing it either.

I can't answer to the speed of Win-8 booting. I tried the Win-8 preview and went back to Win-7 after a month. They say that Win-8.1 is a lot better than Win-8 was.
My Win-10 TP is working well ATM.
