You want something reliable, go with the ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark2. I think it's the first time they've made one of their TUF series MBs in an economy model. It has overbuilt cooling, is server tested for two weeks straight, and comes with a 5 yr warranty.

It also defaults to 1866 memory standard without an OC, and has DTS capable Realtek ALC1150.

Only site close to Europe I could find here in the US. Might be able to find it cheaper.

This is the MB I'd probably have gotten had I not decided to hold off for LGA 1151, Skylake, DDR4, and Pascal.

Making a new thread for this is a bit pointless, but I can sort of confirm from my own perspective that Gigabyte in someways can be more reliable than Asus whereas Asus seems to maintain a minimal level reliability and manages to overclock better than other manufacturers.
However, whichever manufacturer which produces the best motherboard for overclocking always seems to be a contested territory since Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and even Asrock have produced exceptional motherboards at certain times.

Agreed.
