Any GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev 4 owners? Need to ask something?

I can't find any answers in google.

At the backside of the machine in the I/O panel/ports, the optical/SPDF port has a red light on it.

Haven't really noticed it before, just now. I don't have a digital sound system, only a pair of headset.
Is that light OK or my motherboard is shot? Is it some kind of warning? Just wondering.. I just recently upgraded PSU to a Corsair HX750i.

Yes its fine it just means port is ready, my mobo does it along with the att uverse tv boxes.

BTW, I too have the rev 4 board and have been experiencing Black Screen of death issues.

How long have you had your board and do you use 'Sleep' feature?

My cries could be heard in FX owners club lol.

It's your 7950 don't fret my 280x does the same thing and my friends 7950 does it too, randomly screen sleep of death that is.
If we swap to another card it goes away, somewhat glad to see it effects more than just Sapphire cards maybe AMD will fix it.
Do you also have the issue with all the AMD HDMI audio devices stalling out the sound device manager in windows and making the system take a long time to shutdown as well ?

I have 2 rev 4.0's and a rev 1.1, all have Amd 7 series gpu's ( 7970's, 7850's, and 7770). Have not had a black screen yet. Two of them I have had for over a year and the other 4.0 board I have had for about a month but just now getting it built.

hmm, I supected that but not sure, LLC settings in bios seems to cause this issue more tho.

I don't use AMD HDMI on this machine, so don't know about it.

I don't use the HDMI either but that don't stop the 6 AMD HD audio devices from causing problems

they are the same that's why both my 280x and my friends 7950 have the issue but it we change cards to something else like 6870 or a 870 it goes away

optical fibre works by blinking a light on and off. that light is the one you see.

hmm i had this problem with windows 8.1 at first but it went away after some driver/bios updates...

gotta give it to asrock for supporting this motherboard well. my cous in mumbai bought a gigabyte 97 ud3 mobo for his 4790 and its .... well lets say not really worth putting into production.
