NVIDIA Rolls Out GeForce 344.48 WHQL Game Ready Driver

NVIDIA rolled out the GeForce 344.48 WHQL "Game Ready" drivers, timed to launch with Civilization: Beyond Earth, Elite: Dangerous, and Lords of the Fallen. These drivers enable Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR), which debuted on the "Maxwell" based GeForce GTX 900 series, on all older "Fermi" and "Kepler" based GeForce GTX 500, GTX 600, and GTX 700 series GPUs.

Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR). From driver or from this experience crap?

So basically is just a fancy word for SuperSampling right? Like in the Shadows of Mordor game or Witcher 2 (Uber Sampling)?

Some people reporting that the DSR feature will not work with SLI setups. (To clarify - some have had issues, others haven't)

Only tried them on WOW so far. May have a play around with DSR in a few games tonight.

DSR works great with my Titan at 3840x2400 ... finally putting that dang thing to use, haha. There are quirks, like huds that aren't scaled, or menu mouse movement is also scaled down as if your screen was 36"

DSR has been working fine with my 970's in SLI since the first driver that supported the 970/980's.

PhysX, again, like the second last driver, installed but not shown in the installation list.

Last driver was A OK.

Hence, I said some. Working great here, 40% smoothness seems to work on my setup. Nice to finally have downsampling as a native control panel option.

I don't like the DSR feature; steam overlay is not readable (this is 4K issue, not DSR) and the position of my other screens changes so I can't monitor my temps and see my chat programs.

I tested this on BF4 using my GTX 590 which has only 1.5GB framebuffers. Scaling down from 2560x1400 to 1920x1080 while still retaining a mixture of ultra and high detail setting, and with the two anti-aliasing options off, causes an out of memory error. Since I'm upgrading to a new high end gaming PC this year anyway, I'm not too bothered by it.

400 Fermi is still fully supported. Tesla cards before that though have been moved to legacy support for some time now.
