Hello All!
I am trying to get an older card working again, as right now my 7950s are split between 2 machines and I want them back in my gaming rig together.
I have, as titled, a Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon 5750 1gb model
When it initially stopped working I was confused, as nothing happened. No short, outage, no work on that machine. it just didn't display video after being woken up one day. The card seems like it's working fine light comes on, light on mobo by pcie slot comes on. Computer boots normally it seems, fans etc - no error codes. just no video either.
I recall booting with two cards in windows and I wasn't able to see the 5750 as it was. I think it showed up as unidentified but it was a couple years back. That to me means it is most likely trash, but because it SEEMS to work fine (despite no output) I just wanted to ask before I moved on. Any other potential solutions? I run Linux now but I have virtual machines and still have a windows box, so whatever troubleshooting steps I should be able to pull them off one way or another.
thanks guys & gals
