It was doing 85C° but I don't recommend trying that. It seemed to be pretty stable but at 1.725V it was only a matter of minutes and luck that the chip survived that. Usually I run 5Ghz at 1.53V

It seems that the 3930k needs a lot of voltage.

I can reach 4.7GHz 125v mine is under custom water also, I get 5.0Ghz 139v stable, if I can go higher I don't know because I haven't tried yet.

The hexa cores are fine since they are on the 32nm process so for them the extra voltage is completely normal.

Come on is just 4.6Ghz and already need 136v, what if you try 5.0Ghz, how much would be needed, an insane voltage?

Come on is just 4.6Ghz and already need 136v, what if you try 5.0Ghz, how much would be needed, an insane voltage?
32nm intel CPUs came stock between 1.1 and 1.25V so 1.36V for 4.6Ghz is completely normal. My 3960X came stock at 1.18V and 3.3Ghz. Most i5 2500K/i7 2600K/i7 3820/i7 3930K/i7 3960Xs need about 1.35-1.4V for 4.5Ghz.
The recommended safe voltages are:
1.45V Sandybridge
1.4V Ivybridge
1.35V Haswell

With AMD the voltages are even higher.
A stock Athlon X370K comes at 1.4V. My FX 6350 came stock at 1.365V. My friend's FX 6300 came stock at 1.385V.
The maximum safe voltage for a 22nm AMD CPU is 1.55V but I've taken them as high as 1.7V.
My 3960X runs 1.53V for 5Ghz and my FX 6350 runs 4.8Ghz on 1.485V so no 1.36V for 4.6Ghz in not insanely high.

Benchmark Scores My PC runs FiFA

Thanks for the clearly explain, now I am running mine at 4.5GHz 125v I would like to see if I could set the voltage a bit lower keeping 4.5GHz

Note:I realize that i have a great Chip

Sorry that I don't have screenshots but that machine sold a long time ago.
This was a stable every day overclock that ran on a Corsair H100i at about 20C over ambient on super low fan speeds.

Once my 420mm rad arrives tomorrow, I was shipped a 240mm instead of a 420mm, I'll be OCing my 4690k. I'll let you all know the results. I personally can't wait. I don't OC on stock, and I don't recommend it. I may play with undervolting a bit tonight, but WoD did just come out.

That's a good result for an AMD
A10-5800k an running on the corsair H100i, I had the H100 and was good too, when you get your rad and you're done post the results, I like to compare CPU's overclock results and how they can handle higher clocks speeds.

Good old days.

It actually felt good oc'ing C2D's.

was indeed dude, after x58 it all changed :/

why they still rank for me as while i have seen faster from other chips they felt like less of an achievement when all i did was +1 multi, increase vcore, rinse repeat...

Good voltage for 4.5Ghz, maybe lowering to 125v could be stable too, I have saw already the same Chip at 125v
