I posted this in the "Forum has been upgraded..." thread, but I'll post it here so hopefully it gets noticed.

Search is messed up. It fails when certain small words are included. Try searching for "Call of Duty Ghosts". It doesn't work, but "Call Duty Ghosts" does. "Chilly winter" works, but not "in the chilly winter".

I'm just saying you didn't have these issues on the old servers in Texas. Maybe it wasn't as fast but they seemed to be rock solid in comparison.

Sounds like buggy forum software and the intermittent ones are the toughest to track down.

So I made some progress, it looks ilke the Unix socket that our NGINX uses to send requests to PHP-FPM seems to get overloaded from time to time. Now how to replicate, and test.... and fix

Looks like I found a potential cause of the outages, due to a coding bug in one of my scripts, the tmp directory got filled up with 0-bytes files that were never cleaned up. So after a few days tmp ran out of inodes and PHP couldn't create new files and kept dying.

Inodes are a resource that usually are considered infinite Basically "too many files in a folder"

So are you using EXT4? Its been numerous years since I used Linux and played with it beyond the basics. from what I am understanding Inode gives the file an integer instead of a name, and the integer can be the file data for small files allowing inline processing. named lookup requires searching the integer to name table, and each file may have multiple names.

Using XFS (which is the recommend choice for all Linux anyway) because we need extended attributes for GlusterFS

I was having connectivity issues too on mobile... but a refresh would bring it right back up. Nothing on any other device though oddly enough.

Even refreshing doesn't work for me. Says server can't be found. When it does load everything is text

I've also been having issues where I have to refresh occasionally to get into the forms for about the last 3 days( regular pc). Nextpowerup does it worse though to the point where I can't enter even after a few refreshes

Same thing happens here, just doesn't do it all of the time for me.

Mines has also been happening for 3 days on my iPhone 6. PC is just fine though.

Since some weeks, sometimes, TPU main page (not forum) does not load at first visit. Have to reload twice or so...
Right now, it loaded but no images on frontpage.
Happens with computer or tablet, phone.

I've noticed that this past week while using Google Chrome browser it is slow to connect & I get an error "This web page is not available", but using IE the site has no issues & loads immediately.
