So I have this really, incredibly annoying problem. Whenever I boot up, if I try to type anything for the first few minutes (i.e. a password, or a reply to an IM or something), my whole computer lags and I have to wait for it to finish responding to my keystrokes before I can do anything else. Sometimes this can take quite a while, and sometimes the "don't type anything or it'll lag" period is longer or shorter. I have no idea what's causing this. I'm using a vintage mechanical keyboard with a PS/2 interface, but I believe the same thing happened when I had to briefly use a regular USB keyboard a few weeks ago but I'm not 100% sure of that, it could just be my memory playing tricks on me.
Any ideas?
