Quick Sync Questions

I downloaded the latest Handbrake and saw an option for using quick sync (which I'd like to try). It's disabled and there are 3 rules I need to follow to turn it on, 2 of which I understand. The last one is "GPU Virtualization software required to use it with Windows 7 and a discrete graphic card".

My question is what software would work for that and does my MoBo even support it? Been googling for 30 minutes and can't seem to find a solid answer.

The only one I know of is Lucid Virtu and it only works on Z boards (afaik)

You could plug your monitor directly to your igpu if you want to try it out.

Very true, at least I could get an idea of the speed. Didn't think of that...

On a conversion of a 14Gig mkv, I am getting an average of 150 fps on the CPU vs over 300 with quick sync

My CPU only gets 40 FPS.. lol. Anyway, after an encode Handbrake only saves me about 15% file size compared to Shadowplay @ 15 mbps bitrate, so I'm just gonna settle.
