I have been involved in archery for over 20 years. My new toy is the Hoyt Carbon Spyder ZT Turbo. Max speed is 350 fps. My arrow configuration for hunting is a 300 spine with a 75-grain brass HIT and a 100-grain Shuttle T Lock or Ulmer Edge Broadhead. Overall arrow weight is over 520 grains. I can drop 180lb deer at 50 yards easy.

This thread needs to be renamed. Something like.."The Magical disappearing BF-4 post thread." Or " The TPU BF-4 50/50 chance your post will be over-moderated and taken down thread".
I know they don't really roll off the tongue but at least it would be more honest.

Man I did pretty bad all weekend; but still fun more often than not I guess. Was trying to play Assault for the first time really, that didn't help. And that hover tank sucks I sure jumped the gun on judging it positively; I can barely even aim that thing. I had an enemy tanks ass in my sights for 15 seconds and just couldn't get the damn reticle where it needed to be. Had I been home alone I would have screamed out loud in frustration lol

I play a lot of assault/medic. Right now, by far the best gun is the ACE 23 w/ muzzle brake, ergo or vertical grip. I've found that the potato and stubby grips don't really do anything that the other two grips do, plus the other grips help out with hip fire when you need it. This gun works well with both going for accurate single or burst shots as well as automatic fire. Just use the scope of your choice, I prefer the coyote sight.

All right cool I just got the ACE23 actually…I have played with carbines as Engie a fair amount as I simply find less CQC opportunity in this game for mowing down multiple inf with a PDW compared to BF3. But I also kind of suck at range in general too. I can hit them but not reliably and often enough to win the average firefight.

Ran with the ACE52 for a good while months ago but have heard it's not all that anymore now.

Meh, I prefer the F2000 with heavy barrel and stubby, but to each their own.

ace23 is a better all around weapon, the f2000 is a liitle more close range oriented. besides, the ace23 is by far the easiest gun to use.

Sniping is fun. I only use bolt action snipers, never automatic. I personally think it requires the most skill to pull off. With a machine gun you just run around the corner and hold your mouse 1 down.

Running around with a bolt action sniper, you miss you are dead. (With iron sights/6x scope)

I remember the good ol BF2 days of sniping.

Ugh im literally not even going to argue. Sniper is some of the best support when played correctly.

Anyway, anybody else noticing lower FPS averages on both the maps Siege of Shanghai, and Altai Range...? Im getting like 45-60fps on Altai range on High detail.... and Siege of Shanghai i get to the low 50s.

Every other maps seems to be 85-140 on Ultra. Da fuq?

No match has ever been lost because of a shortage of snipers. The mere word curls my lip. I'm willing, however, to give a guy the benefit of the doubt. Gunny is the only sniper I'll play with, because he runs and guns, takes objectives, and doesn't place spawn beacons on mountainsides so he can beat off. You should join us sometime, Jborg. Most of us have the same handles on Battlelog as we do here on TPU.
