Hi,
I have issue with fans in my new graphic card. When I am playing, fans are rotating at ~1400rpm, but every few minutes fans speed increases to ~2400rpm for two seconds, then card is very loud. It's overclocked (core 1253MHz, memory 1900MHz, power tartget 111%, temperature target 85* C - card is stable), but without OC I have the same problem. Temperature never surpasses 76* C. I was trying 344.75 and 344.16 drivers, but they didn't fixed it. I was trying set fan speed to constant 60%, but it didn't fix my problem too... I am giving you screen from Msi Afterburner, please help me.

I was trying, but custom fan profile didn't help me. I set max 60% fan speed, but my card every few minutes still increase fan speed to 100%.

Does it do this when Afterburner is closed?

Why are you on old drivers? Another user on here had similar issues until he updated drivers. I'm on 344.75 which I believe is the most current WHQL drivers from Nvidia. Try that and report back.

I installed 344.75 after bought this card and I had this issue, so I went back to 344.16, because I read https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=184333.0 but downgrade didn't fix it :/

Hi,

I am having a similar problem with mine. My fan speed goes up to ~5600 RPM and stays there, regardless of any fan curves or max speeds set in any software. The interesting thing is this only happens when the graphics card is cool and the percentage doesn't go up. When I put it under constant load, after a while (a long while, because the fan speed is so high, it is difficult to get the temp up) the speed will go down to ~2200 RPM as it should be for 70C. Any ideas? Screenshots below. I am also on the latest drivers. Note: This started happening before any monitoring software was installed. It also started happening after I installed 3DS Max, although I don't think that has anything to do with it. It is also quite a different problem to what Arcathic has posted from the MSI forums, so I haven't tried downgrading my drivers. Please tell me if I should or if it is a waste of time. Also, mine is not a jetstream (I think, didn't buy it myself, got it built and can't get the case open...)

Thanks.

EDIT: It started off going up in small bursts and I could get them to go quiet just by rendering a scene in blender (would cause temp to rise to about 60C). Now the temp won't go above 56, and it is continuously staying at high speed. Maybe a hardware problem? Like a connection lose somewhere or something like that?

EDIT: Finally got it above 60, and then because the fan slows down, the temp just spikes up to 70+. Also, interestingly, when they slowed down, they slowed to ~900 RPM first, then went up to 2000 RPM. I couldn't get a screenshot because I wasn't expecting that. However, you can see it in the third screenshot.
