Hello guys,i recently purchased an r7 260x to replace my dead HD 7750.

So the problem is,whenever i install the video driver, the internet works REALLY REALLY REALLY slow or it just stops working.I Tried different operating systems (Windows 8.1,Windows 7,Windows 10 ecc.)but i always get 0.10 download speed vs my 9.00 Mbps Speed on the other devices. As soon as i unistall the VIDEO driver everything works perfectly...wtf?:confused:

my specs:
Intel Celeron G1820 2.70 GHz
8 GB RAM Corsair
PSU 500 W iTek (yeah it sucks, but it worked with my previous card, also i use my molex for the pci connector)
2 Harddrives
Sapphire R7 260x(Didn't try to "upgrade" VBios as i find only previous versions..)
ASUS H81M-K (updated to latest BIOS 1003)
Network adapter is a Wireless USB TP W722N updated to latest drivers

I Tried the following Catalyst Drivers:
14.12,14.9,14.4 - None seem to make any difference.

Please help,as i don't wanna RMA the card because it works perfectly on the games i play.

Thank you.

Hi

Welcome to TPU

Ensure windows is up to date with all relevant patches

Ensure Wireless USB TP W722N is Not installed to USB 3.0 socket

go to windows control panel; open device manager; *take a screen shot and "Upload a File" here

confirm: which *OS have installed!

*This will help other members of the TPU community to assist further

Note: double check motherboard bios, time and date are correct

Hi,i fixed it!

All i did was create a win98 bootdisk and force flash another VBIOS(A lower version than i had). This fixed my internet issue

sorry for wasting your time guys.

Not a waste of time at all iSpakkio, but please do tell: which vendor was the card, which bios version did it have and which did you flash onto it? I am quite puzzled by this problem :)

My Card was the Sapphire R7 260x 2 GB GDDR5 version:
The BIOS was 015.46 version

i put onto a stick AtiFlash and flashed THIS bios from THIS page

at the start ATiFlash didn't want to flash the bios (Mismatch between the P/N i think). So i force flashed and boom!Internet was working perfectly with the latest AMD Drivers (14.12) on Windows 8.1 x64

Sincerely i don't know why this happens as the gpu shouldn't affect network stuff.I've seen other people that had this problem which never resolved, some other was having a problem with AMD Quickstream which i didn't had.

hope this could help someone in the same situation as me :).

:wtf:

reminds me of this new coffee maker I got for christmas.... EVERY TIME I would brew a pot...My internet speed's would take a SERIOUS dive...I tried everything, finally realized the problem, switched back to My old coffee machine, and voila! Internet back to normal speed's.

I CAN'T help but feel some incorrect terms may have been used here, OR it may be due to the fact that I have not had a cup of coffee yet.Either way I'm glad the "issue" was resolved.
