what if there's a deal on older cards? since 7850 = 270, maybe a 7850 could be cheaper, or a 7870 could be found for the 270 price?

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750Ti 2GB PCI-E Graphics Card on amazon,
if u copy the link it works, forsomereason clickign it will send you to home page lol,

but so i came with the option of
Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750Ti 2GB PCI-E Graphics Card £103
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Graphics Video Card 2048 MB £134

lookign at them i think the 660 is better, i used
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/graphics_cards_buy_now_uk.html

to compare them and the 660 seems to have double the cores and speed?

unless u can suggest better?? under £140
i just wana play games with no lag,

as for the card i am using ur gona laff, im playing mmorpgs good with my APU!! no grapics card lol

i forgot to mention, the amazon link ends in .co_uk so simply make it .co.uk

660 may be faster http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_750_Ti/9.html , but you raised the budget, so now you have different products to consider at the new higher price

there is no such thing as 'play games with no lag', especially at that price, come on

there is only 'play games decent enough with certain settings on a certain resolution that fits your budget to try to get the most performance per dollar'

you can probably get even more powerful cards if buying used

OP if your budget is £100 then that GTX 750 Ti that you linked to at Amazon is a nice deal on a good sale

If you can go £10 more then the card Tatty_One linked to is the way to go. It's faster than the GTX 660 which is faster than the GTX 750 Ti.

Edit: Your specs say your monitor is 1280 X 1024 so you should be ok with either card.

Yes the 270 is faster than both the 750ti and the 660, I would have said the 750ti would be sufficient for your needs but if you do intend going 1080p then the 270 is probably your best bet IMO and the one I linked is a pretty good buy but shop around to see if you can beat that price.

The main difference between the cards you listed are the clock speeds they run at. If you plan on OC'ing the cards yourself, this shouldn't matter much. Just get the least expensive one and OC it. But if you plan on running them at their stock speeds, the differences between the cards clock speeds matter much more. The MSI card, when ran in it's OC mode (not the same as you OC'ing it) will be the fastest of the three cards. The XFX would be the slowest of the cards without any manual OC'ing.

Personally, I'd get the XFX card, read about OC a video card (it's really easy), and OC the card to a higher clock speed than the MSI card.

I'm not seeing anything referring to 179.2 GBs. The 5.6 GHz is referring to the memory clock speeds (which do matter also)

ud get the xxfx tht u said was lower?
boost 945 where as msi is boost 975?

Yes, and I would OC it so it was faster than the MSI or Sapphire card. The differences between the stocks speeds of the cards is only like 2-3% more performance.
