I just noticed this.

That's the most I've ever posted on a single forum.. Actually, more than double.

TPU has been the one place that I've actually wanted to be in. This is home to me.

The layout is amazing. The organization is perfect. The members are family.

Thank you, everyone, for being here and letting me into your family.

I'll be sure to provide more baked heatsink pictures.

You know you have a sickness when you read tpu daily. You have an addiction. You check back two maybe three times a day. You know you should be more productive with you day. You know that there has not been anything worth while posted in the last few hours, that instead you should go read a good book than the oddball baking a heatsink post. It is our junk food, our junk information for the day. How many threads do I really need to read about what gpu new member X can't decide between? How many amd vs intel/nvidea flamewars must I read. Some people have their peoples magazine, their daily digest, but WE proud few have TPU.

At the end of the day, I can't rationalize it. At the end of the day as I post this, I checked tpu and made this post. At the end of the day .

When I see threads of people sawing arms off executive chairs and baking entire stock Intel heatsinks, you know it's probably time to check yourself into the nearest nutcase nursery. Alternatively, we all just seem to gather here instead. Probably better for the general population that way.

I am always here checking for new threads, even when I am at work and we have a lot work to do i can't stop, my girlfriend tells me I am sick becasue i always have my phone wherever I go even when I go to S***.
I love this place, many things that I have learned so far I learned here and i thank many of the users here that have helped me, specially @RCoon.

I'm glad you've found a place here, and am glad you continue to contribute. Many of us are intrigued by what you've been cooking up.

In truth, lots of places have come and gone over the last 10-15 years, or have changed over time (be it the staff and/or the community). You picked a good home. TPU has remained a constant even much further back than when I made my first post here (and was more into XS and some others that rode the initial enthusiast wave). This place has been, and continues to be, a solid, unbiased source of pertinent news/rumors/goings-on with a thoughtful, consistent layout. It's a knowledgeable, but non-uptight nor elistist community keeping each other honest. W1z is the man for setting a great example of how things should be (from the intricacies of the workings of voltage regulators to the occassional booth babe), as are all you reading this. I hope ya'll never change in that regard, and here's to another great year with many new like-minded people, such as yourself Mr. Lightbulbie, joining the fold.

Well I am still here..... it's been nearly 9 years now so something must be right with the place, yes we are not perfect but we will never be, simply because we have grown and when you have several thousand people, well people are just people, it takes all sorts..... one thing this place has taught me is patience! Coming from a 28 year career in the Army I realised I didn't have much of it, I have a lot more now!

So I'm not alone in that TPU is the first thing I do in the morning. It sounds disgusting but is so so sweet.

Everytime I turn this thing on, open Chrome. It opens to my Yahoo. However long it takes to move the mouse to Bookmarks and then to TPU, is how long I spend on my e-mail.

I eventually make my way back to the 100's of stupid messages I get daily. I sort through them for the 3-4 that I want to read....Then, if there's time left, I'm back here to see who liked my posts or added content.

Addiction, maybe. Helpful, Definitely! Awesome, Undoubtedly!



P.S. a +1 to @RCoon 's comment. The rest of the World is better for this place, imagine us trying to ask these questions or, going on about GPU's on the Bus. I'm not sure I would want to ride that bus!

im member of several web but i forgot the pass and im not too interested to recall my pass to login so i usually read something or writing something and sharing something just in here
