I feel ashamed to say this but since last new year when Left 4 dead was free for a couple of days I haven been playing anything else the entire year. I have more than 700+ hours in it. The absolute newest game I've played was BF4 but it's from 2013.

ATM I have only one game worth mentioning: Wolfenstein: The New Order.
Haven't tried Dragon Age 2, but I've heard many positive things about it.

Shadow of Mordor brought a lot of mixed feelings: the graphics and game mechanics are excellent, but the story and variety of quests(including the main quest line) are terrible. Also the big no-no is the absence of the game difficulty setting.

Best Multiplayer: Warframe. Even with microtransaction-oriented system it is still awesome to play co-op campaign.

I think if this was any other year Shadow of Mordor wouldn't get so much attention. half the games this year got pushed to 2015. I really like the Nemesis system and how polished the combat is.

I just brought shadow of mordor and I'm getting my ass kicked. 1 captain keep popping up while I'm in difficult fights and he got me about 7 times. I just started and he's level 18 from being around when I die. Aggravating game.

Use your vision ability to spot the captain and try to stay away form him until you get few more levels up. Then game becomes much easier. I'd even say too easy.

If I have to choose one, I think it's Hearthstone.
Easy to pick, easy to play, took maybe 15-30 minutes a day, slick animations, still give laugh all year long. Full of RNG but at the same time feels predictable.

Gosh, I've played alot, but I seem to always be a year behind. Played Dishonored in March, and Loved it! Played Thief, thought it good, but nothing as captivating as the older titles. Played several hundred hours of State of Decay, which came out last year. Started Styx, but got sidetracked to finally play Tomb Raider reboot.

But, I'm sort of embarrassed to say, the games I keep going back to are games that can be heavily modded, because that is where my long-term enjoyment comes from: new experiences, missions, improvements, etc, which means Oblivion (yep, still play it!), Skyrim, and about 700 hours on Rome 2 now that it is in a pretty playable condition after 17 patches, and mods can now be stable without having to constantly update.

I guess I am waiting for 2015 when there are some games I very definately will play as soon as they come out, like Dying Light, and Witcher 3.
