I am expecting a new motherboard and CPU in the mail soon. I essentially know what i need to do with my operating system but i'm not entirely sure. I was pretty much gonna follow these steps (I currently have windows 8.1)

1. Create an installation disk for windows 8.1 and deactivate it from my old motherboard.
2. Install new CPU and heat sink/fan onto new motherboard
3. Replace old motherboard for new one.
4.Insert my installation disk and install windows?
5. Insert disk that came with the motherboard to install proper drivers.

If I'm missing anything or if there's anything else i should know, please feel free to respond.

Build:
Mobo: MSI Ms - 7641( Replacing with an ASUS M5A99fx EVO r2.0)
CPU: AMD FX 4300 ( Replacing with a AMD FX 8320)
CPU COOLING: Stock (But I plan to buy an aftermarket in the future)
RAM: 2x4GB (1333mhz)
PSU: Rosewill 630w

Don't use the disc that comes with your motherboard, download the latest drivers from ASUS.
