today i got brand new gigabyte gtx 980 gaming 1 card. nothing overclocked by myself. latest drivers, etc., corsair ax860 power supply, ...
it has some strange behavior, not crashing tough
on startup it idles, not getting above 35 degrees, no coil whine.
then suddenly i hear some mild coil whining and when i monitor temps, temps are going up (no background apps opened, nothing runinng, just pure windows desktop), in a few minutes slowly going up from 35 to 57 degrees. fans are not spinning at some constant percentage, but adaptive. aslong as whine continues temps not going down, as whine started - didnt end till i restart it.
what is wrong with my hardware?
is that normal?
