I would suggest to buy the GPU just when you are ready for your new build.

Edit: as far as I'm concerned it doesn't make sense to buy a Card now when you're building in 6 months.

Of course that's just my opinion.

i wont be able to play the new games yet then skyrim, ESO will keep me busy in the meantime.

First you just wanted to get new PSU because of extra wires, now you want to get new GPU,

Pre-Built units are very hard to do "major" upgrades to.
After all you only have 360 W of 12v if that even, only 18A on one rail, lets assume thats for GPU,
so best to save up to do a hand built unit :toast:

You can get a GTX 750 from Newegg for $80 AR. The game codes are easy to sell on ebay for $15. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16814125503&cm_sp=

It will be ~3x faster than what you have. If you are going to build a new PC in 6 months or so... don't, wait until Nov. That's when all the deals are. The GTX 750 will tide you over.

A very significant upgrade. Expect it to be 2-3 times faster than your current card (GT 640).

Otherwise, upgrade your processor as well.
