Selling my old ram + spare parts for $300 Au, so i figured i'd pocket a little change and upgrade my ram

3x good options available from the retailer of my choice: thoughts, dear RAM experts?

the 1866 modules are 1.5v while the 2400 is 1.65, so i can see benefits to those (but i have no clue whats different between them)

For gaming, I'd probably go for 1866 CAS9. I'm struggling to give anyone a good reason why I bought my 2133 CAS11 kit, and probably will do until RAM speed becomes relevant over latency.

most people seem to agree all you need is 1600mhz cas9 so if you got like 1866mhz cas 8 i would think you would have some great ram

sounds like a plan i guess. no ones warning me off that brand/line, so i guess it should be ok.

i didn't want to be the RAM equivalent of the guy who bought a 750W PSU for $20 and wondered why it sucked ;)

yeah the trident are exactly the same kit but 2400mhz just needs a higher voltage.. either one should do 1866mhz cas 8 so probably the best bang for your buck

really makes me wonder about the worth of ddr4 with the higher latency but im sure people said the same about ddr3
