Case airflow changing the room temperature ?

I'm not sure this is the same as air friction , maybe faster air movement will cause it to get hotter , but at this speed , like 600 rpm for 140 mm fan , there's no heat . The air is cold , so cold that my leg next to the case gets numb .

There is a difference in how something feels, and what temperature it really is. Right now I have the side panel off my computer. According to RealTemp the CPU is 89.6F (32C) and the Rooms Temperture is 73F (22.7C). The air the CPU fan is moving feels colder then the air in the room.

Also read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apparent_temperature

PS
Fans do not cool air only move it. While an Air Conditioner does cool air all the fan does it move the air out so more air can be cooled.

Of course that the cpu is hotter than the air in your room . It might fry without the cooler . So if the fan would blow HOT air on the radiator , what do you think it would happen to your cpu ? Now i am not saying you're wrong , but on the other hand , my body doesn't know about wikipedia and feels the cold air and also the draft . This can cause my problems , as my room is clean , fresh painted , there's no dust or chemical substances in my room , like i've already mentioned before .

Have you tried simply turning it off at night for a while to see if your symptoms go away?

In a case like this (no case pun intended), I would Sherlock Holmes it and use deductive reasoning.

If you do find it's the case, and you insist on having it on overnight, I would use the fan controllers to drop speed as much as possible at night, and/or crack your door a bit and mount a small fan on the wall blowing out the crack.

I already stopped them today , but it's 23:06 and i didn't go to sleep yet . I'll keep them off for a couple of days and see what happens .

Why were you keeping it on overnight anyway? Are you folding or something?

Do what I do and get some junky MP3 player or a tiny laptop and let it play gentle music. I have a few songs that I can give that work perfectly.

My brother stole my ThinkPad T61 i was using for movies during sleep . Music won't work . I need to hear dialogues , some cheap movies if possible , animation or fantasy . A mp3 player won't do it and i can't afford a laptop atm .

What type of heating do you use?

Check your humidity levels... they can affect your health and well-being.

Here is an explanation and plenty of links: Humidity: Effects on the Environment and Occupants

And it explains this chart:

Air cooling cannot go lower than the ambient temperature of the room. If your room is that cold then that's the problem there. All air cooling does is cycle air, it moves the colder air from the outside of the case into the case and extracts the hot air from the case in a cycle. You still need fans with traditional watercooling btw, its just that watercooling can go lower than the ambient temperature of the room.

I have to run an air purifier in my room because i have dust allergies.

I don't really understand what is making you sick? I've heard of Hyperthermia and Hypothermia but the temps needed would be certainly more than regular air cooling on a normal desktop pc could generate.

A computer system attracts more dust than normal, especially if your house does have dust issues. It then helps circulate the particulates through the air. If you have any kind of allergies, this can make things worse and make you feel sick.

My apartment has it's own heating pump . I can set it to almost any value i like . Humidity isn't a problem as i've never had this problem in Denmark or Norway , where the humidity was much higher than here . In fact , i guess that the air it's too dry . In the same time , i cannot stand more than 22 C in my room , it's too hot and my nose gets all stuffed and i can't breathe . I'm fine on 18 C , but i have 4 x 140 mm fans and 1 x 120 , 2 of them for intake and 3 for exhaust .

You might be right about sinusitis , as many times , in the morning , i have a stabbing pain right between my eye brows .

I got it . The air in my room is moving . Incense stick proved it . The smoke goes away from the computer even if the stick is at 1 m distance . It's the damn draft .

No , i can't sleep on my back and another thing . In our throat , is that small organ they call uvula . In some mornings , this uvula is extremely big , the first time i had that i urged to the E.R. , i thought there's a chunk of flesh in my throat . It was nothing , just an inflamation that went away after drinking something hot . So , i assume , during sleep i am breathing through my mouth , cold air affect the respiratory passages , the uvula , lungs and so on . I need to get rid of the fans .

I have an old Atom N270 netbook for sale. Does the job if the resolution is like. 480p max.

Netbooks aside, what about audiobooks?

That is exactly my point the air is not colder as you have been saying it is, but rather it just feels colder. If the moving air feels cold to you then you need to do something about it. Your PC will not make the air colder.

You make me get a thermometer and keep it close to the exhaust fans now . On the other hand i am not debating physics but possible effects of the fans on my body . This is completely different than exposing a device to the cold draft . If my lungs were used to 22 C and they get 16 C of draft , they'll get sick , regardless of the thermometer says . Now , i've brought a thermometer and i put it on the back of my case , where the only exhaust fan is still running . What do you know , 15.4 C .

Temp dropped to 14 C . So the air coming from inside the case is indeed colder than the air in the room and i have a single 120 mm fan running at lowest speed .

You just said the same thing I did, but with more words. I have a thermometer next to my PC all the time, and I also have a small box fan running all the time. I moved the thermometer into a direct path from the box fan and the temperature went up a small amount. Also if your house has a draft that is not caused by your PC. It is probably caused from a window or something not sealing well, and could also be from problems with the insulation if there is any.

Temp of the air coming of the rear fan stabilised at 14 C . Thanks for help . I think i got it . I'm powering off the nanosuit . Good night or have a nice day everyone .
