It is amazing to me how easily people can be persuaded to believe a lie especially when it's coming from someone perceived to be in a position of authority.

Psychology is very interesting. And everybody should try and understand it the best they can.

I've seen studies/documentaries on the Pyschology of Authority, and also Group/Crowd Psychology

Very interesting stuff and also very good to know and understand how somebody could use this against you.

One of the many reasons police interviews are recorded. The method called question shaping is basically illegal, and was stopped when the recording process took effect. It was a rather lucrative business a long long time ago.

It's also very much easier to create a false memory inside somebody's childhood, something that the article mentions explicitly, as none of the participants ever had a false memory suggested upon them beyond adolescence.

You could tell me I was dropped as a baby or poked an animals eye when I was a toddler, or even ate beetles, because it's a reasonable suggestion for a child to do such a thing.

They said he was able to pass it because he had had training from the military and that he truly believed that they would never find her body.

This is why testimony isn't very useful in trials. Evidence first then use testimony that collaborates with the evidence. A lot of people were wrongfully convicted on inaccurate testimony. Luckily technology (especially medical forensics) is catching up.

#3 create memmories in steps using pain and rewards
#4 build up desired personality in steps
its more complicated than this but its the main points

in all these steps the tricky part is not to break the person totally yet you cant let the person rest too much.
if that happens then its not reversible and u has a empty minded husk pretty much.
or your back at square one if u let the person rest, but if the person has become a husk then its too late. rest wont work. they become mindless, they cant eat or anything on theyr own

I wouldn't say that. Look at John McCain as example. Tortured, badly, for years but he stuck to his principles. He was too valuable for them to kill too. Most people that cannot be broken in enemy hands end up killed in action.
