I was just wondering if you want to install
Intel SATA Preinstall driver
(For AHCI / RAID Mode)
or
Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver
even though I don't do raid?
also im wondering about the
Intel Management Engine Interface
if it is needed or is it something that I can leave uninstalled without any negative affects?
I guess the question is, do you want to install all drivers and MB function related utilities for everything on the motherboard
or is it ok to just stick to the basics like lan, inf (chipset), audio, usb, and vga?
I always leave out things like hardware monitors and overclocking tools because I doint use them but I don't know if stuff listed above has to be installed for best system performance even if not being used by me.
now that boards have 9 or 10 drivers for them it gets a little confusing if everything is really needed. I miss the old days when you only had 4 drivers lol.
also, is is best to search for my own drivers or trust gigabyte website to always have the latest drivers? im just not sure if its better to search for drivers based on the hardware like googling "Realtek ALC892 driver" or is that too generic and its risky you might get the wrong driver?
