- Recommended PC System Requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Quad-Core CPU or AMD Six-Core CPU
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 290
  • Graphics Memory: 3 GB
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 60 GB Free Space
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 8 (with KB971512 Update)
- Minimum PC System Requirements:

  • CPU:Intel Intel Core i3/i5 2.4GHz or AMD Athlon II/Phenom II 2.8 GHz,
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (896 MB) or AMD Radeon HD 5770 (1 GB)
  • Graphics Memory: 3 GB
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • HDD: 60 GB Free Space
  • OS: 64-bit Windows Vista SP2 (with KB971512 Update)
1. a 290 eats a 760 for breakfast.. first meal of the day is important for a true 4gb gpu
2. it would appear that 3gb of vram is needed so it would cut out a 770 but even a old 896mb gpu is minimum so for this battlefield takes the award for best pc gaming requirements :banghead:

1. Recommended is always silly but assuming they did do thorough testing, perhaps it is optimized for GeForce which means you need a more robust Radeon to get the target framerate.
2. Yeah, that's the only thing that really stands out. 3 GiB of VRAM is steep. My guess is they are using ridiculously large textures and are unwilling to scale them.

I would agree but it is a trend for recent console games to recommend a stronger AMD gpu and they are GCN plus BF:H is AMD, Dice, EA, and Visceral.

bf 3 had silly min vs rec too.

3 said a dual core was min and while the sp would work ok you was such a laggy mess in mp it was not worth bothering. you needed 4 cores for mp and more would really help with your latency for some reason....

Maybe it's written in OpenGL? lol, that's like the only place NVIDIA significantly and consistently beats AMD.

PS: That was a joke, I know it's not OpenGL.

Yeah, a R9 290 beats a GTX 760 by 37% at 1080p (reference vs reference). A larger performance increase is had at resolutions above 1080p. Sometimes it seems like the marketing dept just pulls recommendations out of thin air and don't know very much about GPUs or CPUs.

I think.....

I think they should try to recreate something like BF1942 but with the frostbite engine. I would fucking love that

it seems a lot of marketing departments could benefit from a tech manual for dummies

ww2 is not the in thing anymore, i am sure cod will go back there at some point at which time we will be awash with them again :/

i might go back to bf if they redid 2142 tbh as at least holding silo and boarding a titan makes some sense to me. manning a flag pole....

I can't access the Rockstar site from work but I believe GTA V will be requiring 65 GB storage space. This is the largest so far. Some games are getting immense.

Edit: nevermind, I forgot how shitty EA is. It says my reg key is already in use. I havnt played the game in like 3 years so not sure wtf that means. I am trying to login to EA support site but the site just hangs. LOL, this is why I don't bother with games anymore.

I actually got them to give me a new product key after jumping through a thousand hoops. I login and guess what! ZERO servers! EA is not running any servers for the game. LOL

Played beta for 2 days, core i5-2500, 770 GTX (2GB), 8GB ram - runs perfect at 1080p on ultra settings, couldn't get read on framerate (fraps for some reason don't work with BF:H), but judging from my own senses - it never got lower than 60, there was a slight drop during sandstorm on one of the maps, but other than that - smooth ride. Net-code on other hand... if it doesn't get fixed until release - it is BF4 all over again. Got frequently killed when I was already around corner, 1 hit kills with a weapon that can't 1 hit-kill someone with full health and of course killing each other, some other net-code issues. And of course everyone favorite - crashes.

According to EA:
We don't support the STEAM service, if you have any issue with validating keys there, please contact STEAM-Support.

Never buy multiplayer EA games on Steam. Apparently it hosted by Steam not EA, so kinda unsupported but legal private server.

There are many servers up and running on bad company 2.
I have one up myself.
You must have a filter set wrong or something.
I play most every night.

I can confirm this. Played 2 weeks ago - there was loads of servers. For Vietnam expansion - 1 server, always half-empty, others - 0 people. :D

The requirements are absolutely idiocy considering the game looks like shit (and that's an understatement). A game built on BF4's engine, two years or so newer, and it looks like Counterstrike. lol.

Minimum 3GB vram..? Sounds like a load of derp to me. I might as well just get this and call it good.
