Headphone stand- do you have one?

Sup guys,

recently after getting my 1st decent pair of headphones, I find it hard to keep them on my desk. They are so huge (that's what she said ).My previous solution doesn't work. I used to have a kitchen hook with double tape on the side of my desk, but now it keeps falling under the weight of the headphones. So, I struck ebay.co.uk to see what I can get under the string: "headphone stand", and I got a lot of feeback (about 10-12 products that repeat a lot). Some of them are SO expensive, I mean 45 pounds for a wooden stand? Rly? I'd gladly get Silverstone aluminum one, but hey May be something like this? What do you use to keep your massive headphones at bay? May be some DIY solution? (not too complex though).

Why not use a mug tree, they are much cheaper and you can use it to hang other stuff from too.

Haven't thought about it. If I get the right kind of mug tree at the right price, it might just work. Thanks for the suggestion.

my room setup is unconventional - directly opposite that wardrobe is my 46" screen, with a rotating reclining chair there for more relaxed fap... movie watching?

I realised that set of drawers fit in there and decided i'm slowly building it up into a parts storage/workspace area. and hey, headphones fit pretty well on those things! coat hangers hold them well too, if you get sturdy enough ones and watch for the cables.

if you have re-usable velcro zip ties, it works even better. (or cheat with cordless headphones)

the stand needs to be reasonable price, anyone got some ideas?

I went with the "on the floor" option, because i use them so little. I only bought them for playing ME3 multiplyer since team communication is so important. Other than that, i prefer my speakers.

I will jump on a leg here and guess that "dk" in your nickname stands for "Denmark". You already know these, but while I was there I used pricerunner.dk and you could try Elgiganten- though I think they sell expensive compared to other options or may be Proshop?

What I really want to advice you is actually: use Amazon.co.uk. They have lots of options and because Denmark is zone 1 in EU, the shipping is pretty ok. I got my stuff from UK for about a working week and it cost ok (can't remember exactly, but 3-4 pounds I think). And to get a recommendation for a specific model, give a bit more details: do you want to mount the holder on the wall or it will stand on the desk? Or monitor hanger? I would like mine on the wall, so I am picking stands that I could mount with a drill and screws.

Bought a set of Creative Tactic3D Omega Wireless (which suck by all accounts), and they came with a handy headphone stand, so I use that for my vastly superior Sennheiser cans. The old Creative junk is hooked up to my PC at work, because they won't pay for me to have a good headset despite the fact I edit orchestra recordings.

Doesn't the gaming headsets have some frequences "tweaked" to hear the footsteps and explosions in CS (e.g) better? Isn't that distorting your audio work>?

i don't want a thing to put on my monitor i don't have space i got a dual setup on my small computer table atm so no room xD

I don't run any custom software, I run the stripped down drivers as they are with all audio "extras" disabled.
