Thats because you are assuming the harder you stress it the more likely you are to crash but that isnt the case. Dota could simply be giving instructions to the CPU or GPU that really irritates them. Furmark might just take longer to do it.

If I understand it correctly, you upgraded your CPU and motherboard and then this started happening. Just to clarify, were you having any issues before this upgrade?
I'd also recommend checking that things are plugged in correctly, including the GPU.

Process of elimination. Eliminate everything else - then it's the motherboard.

I have successfully completed Furmark with my new Corsair VS650!!!!!!! I think the problem is that the 550w FSP is not enough to handle all the components I have in this system

Hope this will be stable from now on.

1. Erocker called it.
2. Stop running Furmark. It serves no purpose than to burn up GPU's using unrealistic standards.

Nope. You have a 95 watt CPU and a 150 watt GPU. That leaves more than 50% of the PSU's capacity to run the rest of the system. The FSP PSU may have been faulty, or maybe something wasn't plugged in correctly:oops:, but it has more than enough capacity for your components.

Thank you guys for the assistance. The FSP is one year old. I have kept it for future pc build. I think it's not faulty, I think something wasn't plug correctly.

The problem is that the FPS is a multi rail PSU, it has two 22A rails, so you have to balance the load in each rail carefully otherwise it won't work properly.

I'm not quite familiar with rails on PSU.

VS650 is a single rail or multi rail?

And how to balance the load and etc?

Can you please give me some information so that I can have a better understading and it this will help me in the future. Thanks

This should make no difference in this day and age? I thought only the first multi rails had problems with this.

The FSP Aurum S Gold is a single 39A rail. It's actually a 468W PSU, but that's totally irrelevant.

There is nothing to be said about multirail PSU's.

The VS650 isn't even multi rail either, so I don't understand where this misconception of 2 x 22A rails has come from.

Also, as said before, stop using Furmark.

Thanks sir. I am now installing Windows updates and etc.

Tomorrow I will install my games and hope everything runs fine :) Thank you.

The reason for me not to use furmark anymore, is that it cooked my old crossfire setup, so the vrm's just went puff.

That engine is so hard and stresses your card so much, beyond what any game is able to, its just nuts. Use heavenbenchmark 4.0 instead and firestrike, those shows most likely how your card preforms ingame.

I will download that benchmark when I got home and perform the benchmark test. I will also post the results afterwards here. Thanks!
