I've just started last week, The game runs super-smooth at 1440p with very high fps on my system all maxxed out with FXAA (MSAA just kills the fps with no visual difference). Not a single bug either in 3+ hours of playing. I find it better than Black Flag and generally I enjoy the game but it's nothing ground-breaking. Also, I found the keyboard+mouse version terrible while using the xbox controller works nicely (obviously, a console port).

On this game, I don't know. I DO know that many times I have bought a game despite bad reviews, and been very pleasantly surprised.

Its not bad, I think a lot of the bad hype came from the extreme amount of game breaking bugs when it launched. As far as the game itself goes (especially now that its fixed up), its not bad though nothing too original about it compared to how black flag added so much. The story is good and I honestly enjoyed the mechanics of the game for the most part as its just your standard Assasins Creed affair.

i havent liked it(yea, grafics rocks - but it's not the main part in game, but looks like Ubi wants to present grafics as main character), storyline is weak(for me), mechanics is for consoleboys(it's too easy to climb/run/hide)
but my wife loves this game cause of minuses i wrote - she thinks all this is awesome
xbox360 controller(dont even imagine how AC can be played on keyboard)
so if you played AC:Black Flag with no difficulty(as i) you will find AC:Unity too boring and too easy:)
PS: forgotten, both me and wife havent saw any bugs in game, all was ok(even fps/was playing full ultra 1080p with min 42fps,avg 55 fps)
PPS: asked wife for any bugs in game - she said there we lots of them:laugh:
sor for lying)))thinking she played a lot from last time i asked her)

If your system specs is current, then you're not going to have a good time trying to run it.

this will be for my new build
Then go for it. Do mind that-

Has a GTX Titan, so unless you're going for GTX780TI or GTX980, results will vary.

It feels mostly like a boring eye candy game to me. To give you an example, I played maybe 1/3 to 1/2 way through it, then got side tracked by other games that came out, and haven't gone back to it since. Those other games I've played through 2 or 3 times each, and last night when I found myself bored I decided to reinstall Spec Ops The Line and Kane & Lynch 2. It's a lot like the way The Evil Within affected/disappointed me. I can't seem to talk myself into going back to either of them.

Even without the bugs and graphics glitches it would just be another average to middling Assassin's Creed game, unless you are SUPER into the series i would avoid.

After AMD's Omega drivers, performance wasn't a problem, and I definitely played through it more after that update than I played before it.

Just wanted to clarify that none of what I said had anything to do with performance problems.

If anything Ebo makes my point. Even a lot of the praise comments only mention performance and not gameplay or story. And I do happen to love the better AC games, AC 2 and AC IV being my faves.

I didn't really like it too much. But that is mainly because of the general Ubi-sauce that Ubisoft tends to throw in virtually every title these days. Not to mention the very bad taste Ubisoft leaves in my mouth, this company simply is the new maffia of gaming. Avoid like the plague. But hey, that's personal opinion and not related to the game.

About the Ubi-sauce: every Ubisoft title these days has the same game elements, the only real difference is graphics and setting. Watch Dogs, Far Cry, AC - they're all variations on the same extremely repetitive and boring set of mechanics: liberating towers, a crapload of collectibles that add literally nothing to the game and are just filler content (to me, even worse than 'randomly generated content' that essentially all plays the same - at least thát still has some actual challenge to it instead of being a worthless time sink). The company got lazy and it shows - creativity is completely gone, games launch with tons of bugs that take a long time to fix, customer service is dreadful / non-existant and they are now on yearly release schemes, we all know what that means. The gamer has been kicked down their priority list, and no we're not on the number two position either.

Don't reward this company for their bad practices, I say. But to each his own.

Some context: I used to really like Ubisoft games, even the less good ones. I played Heroes VI to the death (nostalgia from HoMM2 and 3), I liked Far Cry 2/3, AC up till Revelations (skipped Black Flag, didn't like the setting). But it has really gone downhill from there. Fast. AC:Unity has only one real selling point, and that is its expansiveness. Ubisoft really tried to maximize the 'replay' value... but yeah it consists of nothing substantial. If you love ticking boxes, Unity is for you. If you want a cool story, install AC 1, go from there and decide for yourself where Ubisoft dropped the ball :) Because honestly, between AC1 and Unity, not much has changed gameplay wise - some may even say 'less is more'.

I have played AC ever since no. 1 came out.

AC 1 is for me the best of them all, storywise.

AC 2 with Ezio was absolutely fantastic too, eventhough Revelations wasent that great, but at least you could follow Ezio to the end. And see what happened to Altäir from AC 1.

AC 3 was a "mistake", I can fully relate to using the American revolution as scenery, but the personal story just wasent deep enough. For me the jump in time from AC 2-AC 3 is too big.

AC 4 BF, great pirategame, but it has almost nothing to do with the AC series what so ever

AC Unity tries to take us back to basis just like the franchise was in AC1 and AC2 which I personally think is a good thing. The only complain i have, is that they have made a openworld in Paris and the styring of your caracter is completely nuts when you try to play with mouse/keyboard, since i refuse to use a controller.
They said from the start that you could climb everywhere and still its hard to make your own way over rooftops and jump to where ever you like, without following the way developers have coded it, and that a BIG fault in my book.

Personally i dont care about the multiplayer part, eventhough it was quite fun in AC 2, i buy the series for the singleplayer part and the story it tells, and they need to step up again. Arno from Unity is a good caracter, almost as good as Ezio was in AC 2, and nothing like Connor/Edward from AC3/AC4 BF.

Shouldnt the next release for pc, come within a week-14 days ?, then im ready again.
