Getting near for the build

Ok so I have my Phantom 240 mid tower gaming case, Processor, M.B., 2-4gb Ram chips, Seagate 2 tb Hdd, When I do finally get all the parts ready for my build does it matter which I put in 1st? I would think Motherboard last to keep it from getting all dinged up. 1st build so forgive me if I don't know these questions ahead of time. Also does anyone know where I can get a 240 mm Case fan for topside of my computer. Blue led lighting if possible. Tx Waspman

I don't mean this rude, but... everything plugs into the motherboard. If you don't know that it goes in first, perhaps you should have a pro help you with (or maybe just do) your first build.

I like to build a new system out of the case to make sure every things working, if you that use the box that the mobo came in to put it on top of so you don't end up shorting it out.

Read the motherboard manual too before doing any thing as this will shine some light on your build. If your putting it all in the case right away better to put the cpu&cooler and ram on the motherboard before putting it in the case and remember to use the stand off's ( little brass screws that come with the case ) and line them up with the holes on the motherboard and case ( should be 6 some do less\more ).
