Got a question for ya'll. Is it possible to do Rapid mode in a Raid? I would assume it isn't, but just curious. I couldn't find a solid answer anywhere. Thanks guys!

Sinced I created a RAID with 2 Samsung SDD it is identified as "Intel Array" and I cannot access the drives anymore with Samsung Magician or other S.M.A.R.T. tools.

Do you?

Rights that's what figured. The last time I had a raid was on a AMD board. "AMD Raid Array" So I assume, Magician wouldn't detect the SSD's

I'm just in the process of replace dying hard drive, I was wanting to stick with Samsung still... And this question pop in my head.

No you won't be able to use Raid mode anymore. Once the raid array is configured the host system will only see the SSD's as a single logical drive.

Take a look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178381
Buy 2-3 of them (160-240$), set them up in software RAID-0, and you're good to go. If you would like to speed things up further, I'd recommend you give PrimoCache a try. It will work with ANY drives in your PC (save for ODDs), regardless of brand / RAID config / be it removable or fixed disks. I use two Samsung 850 PROs in software RAID-0, of course RAPID won't work (only works on one installed Samsung drive, remember?)

But PrimoCache does and very well too. Lots of config options as well. :) Hope this helps!

Valuable information, no doubt, but I am very much against making things complicated.

Honestly, I don't believe it's that complicated. It's just a few simple settings, that's it. Do you need any assistance regarding this? I'd be glad to help! :)
