Omg, here we go again....

Hope they didn't disable any units on those, otherwise I'll just wait for the inevitable "black" edition this time around :p

Wonder where I'll get the EK water blocks for these puppies now that FrozenCPU is no longer in business :(

Actually, since its already black maybe this round they will do a white edition :p

I would love a ton of white edition cards as I think that should be a new style!

I think we are going to be hearing some promising reviews/news soon on the GTX Titan X since its already at this point.

You maybe might try Performance PCs ( I've found them to be a solid etailer, and their shipping to my location in New Zealand was 2/3 that of FrozenCPU, so I tend to use their service more),assuming ordering direct from EK is out of the question.

Yet the Radeon 300 series remains vapourware...

When the R9 300 series comes out, this (and its inflated price) will quickly vapourise. ;)

Awesome! Thank you very much for that link, I guess there's always the option of ordering directly from EK, but the shipping from Lithuania is very expensive :p

You got me. I was the anonymous source. This is taken in my back shed (nice paint job eh?), and the boxes aren't empty, but aren't filled with Titan X's per se either.

In an effort I have partnered up with NVidia's best bakery chefs, and we have begun work on making cakes in the shape of the rumoured graphics cards. These cakes contain not 6 but 12 whole poonberries, and the sponge, I can guarantee you will perform at least 28% faster in your mouth compared to any AMD shop bought pastry. The cake was made in an immensely power efficient way, requiring only 2 mixers, a set of sieves, and one rogue tasting finger (Jen-Hsun Huang couldn't keep his beady little mits off).

Of course you can't reach the last 2 of 8 chocolate chips, because they got stuck in the cake mould, but it's ok, we're giving you the cake mould so you can still technically access them. (lick 'em off?)

We figured because they are so delicious, and tailored only to the elite cake eaters demanding the highest taste performance, that we would price them not 28% above the competing bakeries, but at $3000 because you crazy kids are probably going to pay that much. If you think that price is ridiculous, you can always get a crunch-creme from Gregg's.

YAY boxes!!!

So these are the type of boxes we will see when the GTX Titan arrives, I am more with the people stating these seem like reviewer sample boxes (Or OEM GTX titans) since there are no branding on them. Hmm, we might get our wish soon and see these for ourselves soon enough with some real benchmarks!

just gotta look on the desk in front of Ryan and Allyn to see the box sitting there. can see it in the preview without even start the video.

Empty boxes?

Fake boxes even, dam picture is low grade like if they trying to hide some thing.

But what ever it is WTF, i don't see the point in sending a picture of boxes, lets face it it's not the boxes were interested in.

I agree. I suspect each box is hiding a Titan X card and Nvidia's premium accessories bundle*

* Driver CD, a couple of PCI-E power adapters, and cutting edge DVI-to-VGA adapter

Sending the picture is a long standing tradition. The fact that it's front pages news might say more about a slow news week than its actual value.

What the.......? Why CD and not DVD or Blu-ray full with helpful and useful beauties?

I hope you are joking because you mention neither HDMI nor DisplayPort ports/adapters/cables.

Why would someone who buys so expensive card, still stay with ancient DVI or VGA???

Why CD and not DVD or Blu-ray

The driver that comes bundled wouldn't fill a CD, let alone a DVD or Blu-Ray (and Blu-rays are expensive)

Why would someone who buys so expensive card, still stay with ancient DVI or VGA???

Because someone buying such an expensive card will likely already have their own DVI-D, Displayport 1.4a or HDMI cable anyway, and if they don't, they can bloody-well buy one. DVI-D is still "good enough" for digital 1440p/1600p. If you're running 4K, you've already got the necessary cables.

Why any of that matters in slightest is beyond me though. You pay for the card, not the crap that comes with it. Nobody uses it.

THat sony xperia loves to nit pick anything to complain about, in all seriousness, most people i doubt use driver cd and just go straight to website and download the newest ones. I said most as some ppl on slow or really crappy capped might use it

Yes....It is a joke.
As anyone who has had cause to buy a GeForce card or checked the specifications of a vendor card will tell you, the bundled accessories for most models are sparse

Why any of that matters in slightest is beyond me though. You pay for the card, not the crap that comes with it. Nobody uses it.
Whaaaaaaaat? You clearly aren't living the dream. Outdated drivers, running a premium card off a PSU that only has molex connectors, a bonus installation booklet to stop people from trying to install the card upside down or in a PCIEx1 slot, and step-by-step instructions on using the VGA adapter to connect up a 15kg, 15" CRT. This IS system building at its finest

/sarcasm (since some will think it serious)

1.

2. DVD can be used if there is additional useful and helpful software provided. And since nvidia sucks, you can forget about it.

3. You need to comply with some standards, so a disc is absolutely essential - not everyone has internet connection at the time of installation.

4. There are packages as that shown from Gigabyte which are richer and better, and cheaper.

5. I use the "crap" coming additionally, actually the thing which can be removed (or is not so needed) is the power cable because it is natural that if you have such a card, you have a power supply already with cables.......

The full die specs are probably legit - just remains to be seen whether it is fully enabled out of the gate. I estimated that GM 200 was basically GM 204 + GM 206 resource-wise. I think Jen-Hsun stated 8 billion transistors (probably rounded to a whole number).
1.5 x performance might be on the cards for 4K, but any testing at 25x16/1440 and 19x10 should come in lower as the card becomes dependent upon CPU and memory subsystem.

It should be, compubench says 24 max compute units for titan X(24*128=3072). And yeah nvidia is still opencl1.1...

There's normal opencl tests for it too:

I don't see how nVidia is directly responsible for this. Additional software is usually added from OEMs. Like Sapphire- TriXX Tweak, Asus- GPU Tweak, EVGA- Precision X, Gigabyte- OS Guru, MSI- Afterburner, etc. To be fair outside driver and monitoring utilities I don't know what else can a manifacturer provide as a software to its products.

On a side note it seems to me Gigabyte added all the nice adapters from the video, because they were somewhat necessary for the use of the card at all situations possible. Similar to Sapphire 7750 LP, which included a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter. Becasue how many low profile cards have mini HDMI, mini DP and DVI at the same time? I do think the stock package should be changed. Not sure which direction, but it definitely needs a revision.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully Nvidia will release a GM200 strictly for gaming and this review will give me some idea what to expect.
