No. According to your motherboard specs here, that motherboard only supports up to 1866MHz. Faster RAM "should" work, but its speed will be toggled down to the maximum allowed by the FSB.

Looking at the QVL for Ram it supports up to DDR3 2000, although only in slots 1 and 2.
It should be possible to overclock the Ram but it would be safer to stick with known tested Ram.

beat me to it 2133 should be as simple as booting at 1600 or 1866 and enabling XMP

I'm not even sure if AMD boards can use XMP profiles as that is an Intel thing.

Comparing the previous Processor with the new one is a bit confusing, the only difference shown is the wattage. 125 W for the 8350 & 220W for the 9370 and a slight increase in base speed.

Your board only has an 8 + 2 phase VRM, so I would say it isn't really designed for that CPU.

As for ram, avoid Kingston, and avoid 4 sticks. Both have known issues with the FX's.

Im using arctic silver 5 right now. I think its just the room the pc is in. Its the closest to the furnace. So when the home is set to 72°f , this room is like 85°f

i have the same crap and my higest temps are 68/70 using a water 3.0 pro, i really hate arctic crap ..

Still shouldn't be the case, check your mounting brackets and make sure it's contacting the CPU.

Also helps to make sure the cooler fans are spinning properly.

The 9xxx series chips are overclocked 8350s, which were already pretty high leakage, so obviously the 9xxx chips are going to be even hotter.

Don't start with that again. Most people will tell you that how you mount it and how much compound you use means more than the TIM itself. All in all, AS5 works fine for me and a lot of other members. I would stop complaining about the TIM as it really is just as good as most others available.

While I find AS5 overpriced, it really doesn't have any other marks against it except people who don't know how to apply thermal paste well. Seconded.

Yes, you are right, it is not the FSB that limits RAM speed on this board, but the motherboard must still support overclocking the RAM. And my real point is, the QVL does not list any 2133 RAM so you cannot assume you can push 1866 to 2133 and still be stable.

Agreed! I am often flabbergasted when I read, "I thought my thermal paste was might be the problem so I added some more!" Fill the microscopic pits and valleys folks - that's it! Any more is in the way and counterproductive to the heat transfer process.

I guess that's what I find flabbergasting. It happens so often. Folks understand the importance of TIM, know enough to go buy some, but then fail to learn how to properly apply. Oh well.

Not as many people as we think knows how to apply a decent layer of TIm, also the fact that not all Coolers are mounted with the same pressure, and many facts that may be taken on consideration, like mounting method, curing time in some TIM's well you know is a complicated topic, but yes the common error here, the amount of TIM applied, maybe is the biggest error o the most frequent one,

I'll be the first to admit I suck at applying thermal paste.

That's why I go for easy to spread ones, it makes it easier for a bozo like me to get a thin layer. Thus, I get better thermal performance from it than some magic thermal super-dooper paste that goops up when I apply it.

Actually is not a thing that someone can do at first try, there several try out on the same cooler for optimal results, also is what I'm facing right now with my current waterblock, I have been considering do some lapping work on it, or polish it at least for flat contact surface,

My experience with lapping is it more trouble than it is worth. I am careful about ESD, but sadly, I have seen more than my share of destroyed CPUs, presumably due to mishandling and ESD damage when lapping. Many years ago, if you knew what you were doing, lapping may have been worth the effort. But CPU and heatsink manufacturing is much more refined today than it was 10 - 15, or 20 years ago such that the CPU dies and heatsinks are made of much purer raw materials from the start, and then the mating surfaces are made to be much more precise (flat) compared to legacy products.

My trick for spreading a proper layer of TIM as thin and thorough as possible is first, to start with warm, or at least, not cold TIM. In my case, the top of my cable modem is warm so I set the tube on that while I get everything else ready.

I clean the mating surfaces with 91-93% isopropyl alcohol (the typically 73% can leave a film).

Then I cut the end off a plastic-shaft cotton swab/Q-tip and bend the shaft about a 1/2 inch from the cut end to make my application device (think hockey stick). Then after a quick blast of dusting gas on the CPU, I put a small dab (about the size of a small grain of rice - it is much easier to add more than remove excess) of TIM on the die, then spread the TIM across the die with my hockey stick, like spreading icing on a cake.

Then a quick blast of dusting gas on the HS and I carefully mount the HSF assembly.

Upgraded the fans on my h100i to cougar vortex, half is push only and the other half is push pull (because of the case i cant do both push pull). before, when i launched heavyload the temperature skyrocketed to 80C and kept going. Now with the new setup, it evens off around 70C . also added 2 fans to draw air on the cover

change your exhaust fan ... it must be pushing hot air outside,
Side fans are fine, but the hout air generated by GPOU may be pulled outside the case, '

Also if you disarm or remove that "handle" on your CPU top will be better for another fan,
