"Nai's Cache Size Benchmark
DISCLAIMER:
This Benchmark tries to roughly estimate the L2 cache size in
CUDA by benchmarking memory latencies for differently sized
working sets and different chunks of global memory.
Use it without anything in the DRAM of your GPU or else
the swapping behaviour of the GPU may corrupt the measurement.
If the benchmark produces strange outputs nevertheless,
there is a high proability that this benchmark is not working
as intended. Your GPU is probably just fine. So please stop
making annoying whine posts in any forums, if this benchmark
produces a suspicous output."

You did read the disclaimer on your version of this program, right?

Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
I dont understand how this is a big deal. I thought it was common knowledge that the 970 had memory issues past 3.5GB. I was under the impression they didnt use their "new architecture" (which btw cant be changed via board partners wtf who said that again?) on the 960s but I thought they didnt use it on the 960 or 980s.

I did read it, but I can also code a program to remove that as well, not that hard to program in CUDA, right?

I guess ASUS fanboys are all over this place because of how techpowerup is affiliated with ASUS for their news announcement.

Couldn't care less about ASUS. You're jumping to conclusions using a program that was never intended to measure this (and the author says as much). Here's my GTX 780. I know that it doesn't have an VRAM allocation issues, but look a the last "chunk":

Well the announcement of this brand new BUGGY card was also made on techpowerup as well.

Um, you must be very selective in your vision, because just about everything gets announced on the News sub-forum. Literally even stuff I have no interest in sometimes, but it's there for whoever wants it. They aren't ENDORSEMENTS of a product.

Everyones in bed with Asus I mean look how many of them announced the card! How is consumerism going to survive?! Have the companies taken over all power? With this many sites biasd and nvidia giving out so many buggy cards it almost feels like we dont have a choice. We might have to live our lives buying purposly faulty hardware. the PC industry is dead. Thank you UnkownzD for opening my eyes to a world full of unfair business proactices ment to hurt the consumer and drive corporate greed.

I'm out, OP (new poster) has lost focus. Shades of the Litwicki troll, never following through on recommendations, just stirring the pot. Unsubbed.

As it did with pretty much every other tech forum, not sure what your point is here, if it is that you don't like Asus and don't trust any sites that report news articles or reviews about their products then I think your best option would be to start your own site because you are not going to find many places to frequent otherwise. As for this site's members, Asus has no more followers than Gigabyte or MSI generally.

I suggest all conversation on this subject go there to discuss it. This thread doesn't seem to have an endpoint or any kind of clear goal. The conversation here has run in circles for almost 4 pages now and there's no reason to continue.
