I am curious about this too.. wtf is sli ready memory? lol.. it does sound like a gimmick to me.. I have't seen memory marketed specifically as "sli ready" memory so I'm assuming it doesn't mean much.. but should it be enabled or disabled I wonder.. it could be very specific though, might even be helpful..

I got it on my motherboard and my memory... it doesnt really do anything that I can see. I know that it will run only at 800mhz if it is not turned on.

Otherwise it will run at its OE speed 1066mhz with it on.

Otherthan that... I dunno

I think overcast is right - it's pure marketing crap taken to another sleezy level.

There's plenty of RAM out there with EPP (enhanced performance profiles), but this apparently works like a double agent virus with the motherboard. If the ram EPP doesn't contain information that it's SLI certified, it appears from the previous comment that the SLI motherboard will hobble the memory. Now I'm not completely sure about that... but it sounds like something NVidia would do.

Whats strange is, this was reported in the NEWS section at TPU. WE have SLI ready memory and Crossfire Ready memory (OCZ makes both and so do some others). Its supposed to let Joe Customer know that it will work without a hitch on his/her motherboard. Really just for computer newbs. Anywho, it is a marketing thing and charged a little premium.
