Article Number: RN-WIN-15.4 BETA

AMD Catalyst™ 15.4 Beta for Windows® - Grand Theft Auto V Optimized

This release enables peak driver performance optimization for AMD Radeon™ graphics users in Grand Theft Auto V.

This article provides information on the latest posting of the AMD Catalyst™ Software Suite, AMD Catalyst™ 15.4 Beta.

This particular software suite updates the AMD Catalyst Display Driver and the AMD Catalyst Control Center. This unified driver has been updated, and is designed to provide enhanced performance and reliability.

Package Contents

The AMD Catalyst™ Software Suite, AMD Catalyst™ 15.4 Beta contains the following:

  • AMD Catalyst™ Display Driver version 14.502.1014
The AMD Catalyst™ 15.4 Beta Driver can be downloaded from the following links:

Installing The AMD Catalyst Software Driver
For detailed instructions on how to correctly uninstall or install the AMD Catalyst Software Suite, please refer to the following support resources:

NOTES

  • This driver is not intended for use on AMD products running in Apple Boot Camp platforms. Users of these platforms should contact their manufacturer for driver support.
  • When installing the AMD Catalyst™ Driver for Windows® operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator, or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of the AMD Catalyst Driver.
  • The AMD Catalyst 15.4 Beta Software Suite requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to be installed.
  • The AMD Catalyst 15.4 Beta Software Suite requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 to be installed. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is included in all Catalyst packages.
  • AMD Eyefinity technology is designed to give gamers access to high display resolutions. As pixel count grows, the graphics "horsepower" required to drive the displays at a reasonable frame rate can increase dramatically. Depending on the game and system configuration, users may notice texture corruption and reduced frame rates when running games in multi-monitor Eyefinity modes.

Is no Bueno.:shadedshu:

Just spent the entire day trying to stabilize with these drivers. Not happening! :banghead:

I had high hopes after how well 15.3's been treating me. I've been waiting for 15.3 all my life. Well, since I bought this 280X anyway. I have my doubts much more can be squeezed out of it driver wise. And if I have to lower my OC by 1 more MHz to run them, I'll have to buy a water cooler to run 1175 stable. Which looks to be the case potentially. And I can't afford that. So I'm screwed.

1175 is still pretty good though.:p

You fully lost me there.:wtf:

As a matter of fact, they have released one as of a few weeks ago. I'm currently running the 15.2 WHQL driver on Windows 10.

Not really by choice though. Since they decided to automatically install it for me 3 days go, I'm unable to switch back to any other drivers and have them work. I've only tried 14.12, 15.3, and 15.4. Because that's all I'll settle for, if/when I get to choose. Until then, I guess I'll settle for what I can get to run at all. Who knows? Maybe it'll work fine. I've only just now finally given up on the impossible uninstall/reinstall battle, so I haven't even tested it out yet. We'll see.
