Funnily enough my most expensive PC was one that just had one issue after the other, and at the time I was a total PC n00b and my parents were even worse.

I think that in the end we paid our 1000 dollar PC twice over in repair/investigation costs. That was a pre-built PC, some AMD 1 Ghz thing, and it taught me one lesson: never again! Since that time I'm happily building my own rigs for half the money and twice the performance

my 4770k rig is so far most expensive rig I have spent so far. Most of the items is I need to order from US or Europe so shipping + tax already cost me more than $1500
