Hi, I just flashed my evga gtx 780 ti with acx to the evga 780 ti kingpin bios from this website. I followed these steps

.

I was wondering once I've flashed this could I just leave it alone. Will this have the kingpin clock and memory now that I've flashed it or do I need to do anything else.

Also, once flashed I use nvidia experience and the optimal setting still the same as the gtx 780 ti and not the 780 ti kingpin. Is this normal?

Sorry I'm new at this and wanted to some feedback from the experts.

Thanks

Hi

Welcome to TPU

Please any info would be appreciated thanks
Please don't double post, just clutters the place up and is against forum rules, thanks; that out of the way

Assuming the vga card was software overclocked and tested in all applications and games for a solid length of time to ensure vga cards stability prior to flashing, should have no issues, [may want to keep an eye on VRM temps] use GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner or other software's
Tip: reinstall drivers once flashed, so the driver sees the changes

Also, once flashed I use nvidia experience and the optimal setting still the same as the gtx 780 ti and not the 780 ti kingpin. Is this normal?
This looks correct as in essence the kingpin vga card is still a 780 ti just with a factory overclock, nothing special

Note: make sure to keep the copy of the original Vbios Image in a safe place, burn it to disk or other; just in case have to raise an RMA

Tip: for future reference would have been better posted in the Nvidia Sub Forum here

Thanks for your responses. Much appreciated. I downloaded the evga kingpin gtx 780 ti bios from here (techpowerup) so I think I should be safe. I'm pretty sure it's stock and not over clocked. I just want to use the stock version of the kingpin. I don't want to mess with anything else. I've saved my GTX780 ti original bios already so thanks for the reminder.

So with NVidia experience it shows the same optimal preferences as my gtx 780 ti so all that means is that it runs just a tad better im assuming since its bios has been flashed to the 780 ti kingpin. Am I correct on that? It has a higher boost clock.

Temp runs from 75-85 degrees. I'm hoping that is a safe temp.

Hi

I'm pretty sure it's stock and not over clocked
According to EVGA Web Site
ACX [standard model 03G-P4-2882-KR]
  • Base Clock: 876 MHz
  • Boost Clock: 928 MHz
  • Bus: PCI-E 3.0
Source - here
KingPin [03G-P4-3888-KR]
  • Base Clock: 1072 MHz
  • Boost Clock: 1137 MHz
  • Bus: PCI-E 3.0
Source - here
I've saved my GTX780 ti original bios already so thanks for the reminder.
Well done don't loose it, so many times they are deleted by mistake or a hdd fails
so all that means is that it runs just a tad better im assuming since its bios has been flashed to the 780 ti kingpin. Am I correct on that?[/
sort of: the boost table for the GTX 780 architecture is predefined with an algorithm to allow the vga cards GPU to boost as high as it is able to go within manufacturers recommended specifications and warranties
Example
Kingpin vbios.jpg

As a guide download and run nvidiaInspector.
Example
nvidiaInspector.jpg
note: this is only an example most gpu's differ due to the wafer fabrication process

Side Note: as the ACX vga card in the OP has no reference to the model number it has to be presumed that the vga card is now over clocked
on the base core by 196MHz and boost core 209MHz above; this may lead to unstable boost with added heat, thermal throttling, down clocking and volting of the vga card

Note: if get a chance go here fill in full system specs including manufacturer Make, Model Numbers & OS

TBH: possibly more research should have been done and knowledge acquired prior to flashing

Thanks law-II.

I've went back to the original bios. It seems to heat up too much and also unstable at times. Thanks for all your help and I've learned a lot from you. I'll just keep my gpu stock.
