ey guys, I've had this PC a total of 4 years since fall of 2011. The oldest thing is my GPU from June 2011 which has a lifetime warranty which EVGA sent me back a replacement which was bad and they sent me another which is very good.
So the first area below is the CURRENT PC I am using. I talked to my friend yesterday and I gave him a range of 800-1,000 for my pc. He agreed to buy it in the summer when he gets more money. He knows I have taken very good care of this, the parts literally look new inside. I don't game that much on them. Also, I notice that newer games are seemingly not always above 60 fps like they used to. I was just thinking to sell my gpu and get a 970 or 980 but I wanted to overhaul my pc. What can I do to make my pc better? Should I just sell him my gpu and get a 970 or 980 or should I make a complete overhaul to a z97 or x99?
People have said PNY IS GARBAGE, but looking at their GTX 980 it is a reference nvidia heatsink and board, but PNY offers lifetime warranty like EVGA once did.............
I mostly use my pc for gaming, browsing, programming, and eventually I want to do more than just gaming. Maybe rendering, hosting, drawing models, faster file transfers/movements and other things related to technology. I don't want to just be gaming or just web browsing for my PC forever.
What do you think?
ALSO!!!!
I rather stick with air, so the Noctua NH-D14 is a good choice right? For i7 5820k?
What is the quietest fans to air ratio so they blow a good amount of air but are not super loud???
What is the best air cooling case to get? I have looked at Antec 1200 (to maximize airflow and with some time the cable management can be good), Phantom 630, rosewill thor, blackhawk, rise,
corsair 750d. I don't want a case with a hd cage BLOCKING the front fan or restricting the front airflow. I want a full tower OR a mid tower that has a TON of air flow options so I can get the lowest temps as possible!!!!!!!!!!
I want to make sure when I buy a GTX 980 or GTX 970 SLI they stay as cool as possible, and so will the CPU ....
What is a good PSU? Corsair? Seasonic? Does 80PLUS PLATINUM actually mean they PSU won't heat up as much and deliver more of what is advertised as wattage?
More questions to come!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR FEEDBACK!
