HP 8770W MODIFICATIONS?

Hi,

I am curious to know if anyone has experience in modifying these laptops.
Mine is the 8770w and I want to upgrade my screen to a dream color but I have a 40 pin and DC has a 50 pin. Anyone done this?
I also wish to upgrade my Quadro K3000m Graphics card.
Is this doable and if so are there any recommendations?
and what about cooling, any mods that can give me better cooling?

I'm not saying it is a straight forward and easy swap, you might have to change the LVDS cable or the Motherboard to use the DC screen. The GPU should be a straight swap for the K4000m, no idea if any other Nvidia card will fit.
