From experience I would stick with the Asrock boards for value for money, throw in a mid range i5 and a fresh install of Windows due to the new chipset on the Motherboard and CPU and it should be good to go.

you need advice on intel Processor and compatible motherboard and your budget is like $500??

you are supposed to use new mobo an processor on the following hardware:
  • Ocz 750w Psu 90+
  • Kingston 120 SSd O/s 8.1 win
  • Ram 16gb G.skill Sniper
  • W/D Blue HDD 1tb
  • Asus Rog Matrix R9 280x std clock 1100
am i right?

There is no case on that list... if you already have could be nice to listed also, feel free to fill your specs here:

I've been quite happy with my ASRock board, so I'd recommend getting another one of those. Assuming you have everything except motherboard and processor..

Reusing the parts that Peche listed here, I'd suggest an Intel i5-4690k and whichever sub-$200 ASRock board with a Z97 chipset looks best to you (perhaps the ASRock Z97 Extreme6), top it off with a nice cooler, assuming you don't have one (CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo is a popular recommendation), and done! $10 for a celebratory beer or two and put the remaining $100 back in the bank.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($26.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($144.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $391.96
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Basically what xvi suggested is exactly what I would suggest. Except not need for a CPU Cooler, just re-use the H60.

But, heck, for a $500 budget you could even go up to the i7-4790k if you wanted.

Yeah. Saw the H60 afterwards which, I think, is about on par with or a little worse than the 212 Evo (maybe?). Although the H60 has the advantage of being prettier and conveniently already purchased.

I was thinking the i7 would certainly fit the budget too. Probably wouldn't utilize the hyperthreading most of the time, but it'd always be nice to have that extra horsepower on tap if needed.

I agree. If he has the budget I say go for the i7. Of course, if he wants to save the $100, say to possibly put towards a GPU upgrade in the future, I say do that instead and go with the i5.

sup fellas,

i do agree about the i7 world for sure, also taking on consideration that OP has the money for it, i will sugest 4790K and gigabyte Z97 board, maybe UD5 black edition, or asrock OC formula, those are the best board on my humble opinion, also most of gigabyte's boards are solid enough ...

Keep the current H60 but ad dual high presure fans, like corsar SP120 or thermaltake Riing 12, for better cooling experience, also you should use aftermarket thermal interface for CPU and Block, i also recomend Arctic MX2 or MX4 for the win,

Suggested boards:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4978#ov >> excelent board,

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5086#ov >> insane overclocker...!
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4484#ov >> another overcloker champion ...

if you want extreme temps lowering try delid for ultra cooling experience, i noticed almost 10C ddrop on lower temps and 20 C drop on max temps, :D

Regards,

budget under 500 usd or less
will be on a 1080p 24' asus monitor

Thanks again.
Does not sound like you are much into overclocking, with a budget of $500 and willing to reuse most of the parts here is my recommendation.

i5 4690K
Gigabyte Z97 G1 Sniper (Or equivalent at that price point, I actually like the MSI Z97-G55 as being one of the best out there for the money).

You do not really need to spend your whole budget, in fact that would be a great 1080p experience that would last you quite some time (With the processor, 3+ years minimum). You could go for an i7 but since this is strictly gaming, I would avoid it as Hyper Threading does not really help the experience at all. I would also say if you want to try overclocking a little you may want to replace your cooler with something a little more substantial (The H60 can go a little but not a huge amount). Try something like an H100i if you want to go extreme (And can mount it) or you can try something like an H80i. Though I will say that is all dependent if you want to overclock, if you don't you may be better off just getting a locked CPU.
