Yeah, it will work. If you can shop at Newegg they have that card for $192 with rebate plus a free copy of The Witcher 3. That's a nice bonus if it is a game you were going to buy anyway.

I can't shop at Newegg but Witcher 3 is one of the reasons I'm getting gtx960 over r9 280/280x. Besides power consumption :p

Thanks for your answers!

a 960 is gonna be slower then a 280x
a 280x is simply a re-branded a slightly overclocked 7970 which can be had a lot cheaper
else I would save and invest in a 970 ... or wait for the 390x/380

I agree with what you said, but I'm on the sweet spot for a gtx960. I recently found out that my PSU was sh*t. So I had to change it as well. I could find a cheaper PSU that can support a gtx960 easily, since it has low power consumption. Can't pay for a PSU that can support a 280x.

Also, I can't really buy a 970 or a R9 300 series, because due to exchange rates, those cards are very expensive here. :/

I would pick a GTX960 4GB so you can have more eye candy in your games

For example I'm using 2600MB for GTA V

Oh I forgot to mention I already bought ASUS Strix GTX960 2GB, but for the sake of conversation, they are almost as expensive as 970s here :l
