This is a good post. I LONG wanted to create a similar one.

My specs are in my profile,you can click on them. Don't judge, i just got back from work....
Question: Can i put this video card http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/R9270DC2OC2GD5/ without bottlenecking or destroying my PC. I know for sure my PSU can handle the card without even feeling it and my ram is also good enough. But i am worried about the CPU.
I could get a HD 6970 with 10$ MORE or a HD 6950 second hand with less then 30$ what i pay for this brand new one. So i say get the new one. But i'm so scared it will bottleneck my cpu hard. If i get 10 more fps on GTA 5,and i'll play Witcher 40-60fps with lowest ress and lowest settings (that will be a sad day).
you would be better served with a second hand 7970 I paid a 100 bucks for this one here on TPU
7970=280x=7970 =!=

100$ + delivery cost i end up buying it in my country.
Sure i hope that people here are trust worthy...maybe ? So i can get a good product. If i get of my rip off websites,most of the times i can't even test the product and return it if it's bad.

Second. How much bottleneck em i looking at between 7970 or a R9 270 ?

Third. Is there a market place here on TPU that i don't know about . How do you buy stuff from members here ?

Second. The HD 7970 has great specs. Really does! Thing is we are talking about 1 G memory VRAM. And i have been reading about this. New games benefit/ need 2Gb + VRAM ,they need the memory more then they need the 5 GHz Memory Clock or the BUS Speed 384 bit in our case. If this is true or not i w8 for people here to bring suggestions.

7970's come with 3GB of vram ... a r9 270 is a 7870 ...
I have never had a problem buying from anybody here on TPU
its why we have heatware ...
all of AMD's cards from the r6 250 to the R9 280x are re-branded 7xxx series cards
